😜🍅 Who says food can’t be fun? In feeding therapy, making faces out of food is a great way to help kids explore new tastes and textures — all while having a blast!
👃 Touch, smell, squish, and stick those veggies and fruits to create silly faces. It’s a tasty way to build confidence and reduce picky eating stress.

Plus, who can resist a carrot nose or a grape smile? 😄

🧠✨ Build your child’s language through play!
Try these 6 simple strategies to turn everyday moments into powerful communication opportunities:

1️⃣ Make silly sounds 🚗🐶
2️⃣ Pause + wait ⏱️
3️⃣ Follow their lead 🧒🏽➡️
4️⃣ Name everything! 🧸
5️⃣ Use signs like “more” + “all done” 🙌
6️⃣ Offer choices 🍎🍇

💬 Language grows when kids feel heard and engaged — and the best part? You’re probably doing a lot of these already! 👏

📌 Save this for your next playtime!

We're dye-ing over this kind of team energy 💁‍♀️🌈
Nothing brings people together like rubber bands, buckets of dye, and a shared fear of staining your jeans.

✨ OT + PLAYDOH = MAGIC ✨
Play-Doh isn’t just fun — it’s a powerhouse for fine motor development! 💪🖐️ Here are a few of our favorite OT-approved ways to use it:
🎨 Roll it into snakes or balls – perfect for bilateral coordination
✂️ Cut it with plastic scissors – great for building scissor skills
👆 Push small beads or objects into it – hello, finger isolation!
🖌️ Squish, pinch, smash, and flatten – all the tactile input a kid could want!
Bonus: Add a rolling pin or cookie cutters for extra tool use and pretend play! 🍪
🎉 Play that’s purposeful AND fun? Yes please.

☀️ Heavy Work Fun for Summer! 💪🌻
Looking for sensory-friendly ways to keep kids active and regulated this summer? These heavy work activities are perfect for building strength, body awareness, and calming the nervous system — all while having a blast! 🙌

Here are 6 summer-ready ideas to try:

1️⃣ Tug-of-War
Grab a rope or towel and play with a friend or adult! Great for building upper body strength and giving deep pressure input. 🪢

2️⃣ Playing in Sand
Dig, scoop, carry, and build! Use buckets, shovels, or even hands to push and pull sand. Pack it tightly for extra resistance! 🏖️

3️⃣ Digging for Worms
Use garden tools or fingers to dig through soil looking for worms or buried treasures. It’s messy, fun, and great for hand and arm work! 🪱

4️⃣ Watering Flowers
Fill and carry a watering can, then water plants around the yard. Lifting, pouring, and walking with a full container provides awesome proprioceptive input. 🌼

5️⃣ Swimming or Water Play
Whether it's a pool, sprinkler, or splash pad — pushing against water gives natural resistance and is calming for the whole body. 💦

6️⃣ Breaking Ice with Toys Inside
Freeze small toys in an ice block. Use tools (spoons, toy hammers) to “excavate” the toys — a fun mix of sensory, strength, and problem-solving! ❄️🔨

Heavy work = happy bodies + focused minds. Try these outside and watch your kiddos thrive!
