Week Two: Done and Dusted ✅💪
12 weeks to go!

Nothing flashy this week, just steady work, getting my body and mind used to marathon training again. It’s been a while, and the long run definitely reminded me of that. It was a grind, but I eased off the pace, stayed patient, and got it done.

Looking forward to wrapping up next week. Every three-week cycle usually gives me a good boost, and I’m ready for that momentum. One step at a time, Mesa, I’m coming for you. 🏃‍♀️🔥

Where do I even begin? 🥹
This morning was nothing but love, laughter, and smiles — a reminder of why I run. 💛

A few months ago, my cousin asked about my running class and wanted to train for a 5K. She showed up, stayed consistent, and built strength one workout at a time. Today she crushed it — running faster than she ever expected! I’m so proud of you, Sandy, getting to run beside you was such a gift. 🥰

To top it off, two of my amazing friends earned new PRs today!! 🎉 They’ve worked so hard, and it was their moment to shine. I also got to watch another friend pace the sweetest little girl in all of Dallas. 🏃‍♀️💨

Everywhere I looked, I saw familiar faces, friends, and runners — all out there hitting goals and cheering each other on.

Running truly is a gift… and today reminded me just how special that gift really is. 💫

It's that time of year again! 🌨️🥶 People start asking, how do you run through the winter outside? It all comes down to proper grear. 👌

🌡️ By Temperature Range

50–60°F (10–15°C)

Feels cool at first but warms up fast.

🩳 Shorts
👕 Short- or long-sleeve moisture-wicking top (light material)

40–50°F (4–10°C)

🩳 Shorts, capris or light tights
👕 Long-sleeve tech shirt or thin base layer with tank underneath as you warm up.
🧢 Optional: thin headband or cap, light gloves, light running jacket or vest.

30–40°F (-1–4°C)

👖 Capri's or leggings.
👕 Long-sleeve base layer + light mid layer or jacket
🧤 Gloves
🧢 Headband or beanie
🧦 Wool-blend socks

20–30°F (-6– -1°C)

👖 Fleece-lined tights or double layers
👕 Thermal base layer + mid layer +
windproof jacket
🧤 Thermal gloves (or add hand warmers to your glove)
🧢 Beanie, neck gaiter or Buff
🧦 Warm socks, maybe waterproof shoes if slushy

Dress for 15–20°F warmer than it actually is — you’ll heat up once you start moving.
