I earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin. I worked for Cancer Support Community in Dallas and Los Angeles, where I led individual and group counseling sessions for adults, children and teens who were
impacted by cancer. I held the position of Program Coordinator for all North Texas affiliates, and still currently run group sessions on a part-time basis. Additionally, I led children's groups and provided individual counseling at The Family Place, an organization that assists families affected by domestic violence. I also worked at The Excel Center Fort Worth in an outpatient classroom setting, teaching kids anger management skills and coping strategies during post-psychiatric hospitalization. As well as running my private practice, I currently work part-time at a residential treatment facility for adolescents with eating disorders. I am a Prepare-Enrich certified facilitator working with couples with an emphasis on premarital counseling. In addition I have been a guest facilitator for Hold Me Tight retreats using Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.
I invite you to contact me with any questions you may have about therapy, my services, or to set up an appointment.
