This is me, Alex! I am the inspiration, co-inventor, and social media manager for IvPolePals! I am a senior in high school this year and love playing in the band! I have LCHAD, where my body can’t break down fats and turn them into energy. LCHAD has brought me many challenges throughout my life, but I’ve persevered and hope to one day give back by being a Certified Child Life Specialist!

IvPolePals began after I had many trips to the hospital. My mom helped me create two paper faces over the first couple years of hospital stays. The first one was named Watery, a paper face made out of notebook paper and colored pencils. Later I decided Watery needed a girlfriend after getting two eye stickers from a doctors office, her name was Flo. From then on I expected Watery and Flo to be on my iv pole every time I went to the hospital. My entrepreneur dad soon saw the possibilities and IvPolePals was invented! Now IvPolePals has been brightening patient’s hospital rooms since 2009!
