Unlike traditional radiation, proton therapy delivers precise doses directly to the tumor while significantly reducing radiation exposure to surrounding healthy tissues like the bladder and re**um.

This precision means:
✓ Fewer side effects
✓ Better quality of life during and after treatment
✓ Reduced risk of secondary cancers
✓ Shorter treatment courses available

At Texas Center for Proton Therapy, we're committed to providing leading-edge care that puts your health and comfort first.

Nourish to Flourish: Eating Well During Radiation

Radiation treatment can be tough on your body and your appetite. But the right nutrition can help you feel stronger, heal faster, and manage side effects.

✅ Prioritize protein (think eggs, tofu, yogurt)
✅ Stay hydrated (aim for 8–12 cups/day)
✅ Eat small, frequent meals
✅ Avoid high-dose antioxidant supplements unless approved by your doctor

Your plate is part of your power.
