We all love to say “I’m a work in progress.”
And don’t get me wrong—being a work in progress is a good thing. It means you’re open, learning, and growing.
But here’s the trap I fell into (and maybe you have too): I used that phrase as a shield.
It made me feel like I was moving forward… even when I wasn’t.
The truth? I was avoiding the uncomfortable things in my own health practice:
⚡ putting myself out there consistently
⚡ having the tough conversations
⚡ tackling the tech that stretched me
Instead of growing, I was staying comfortable.
That’s when I realized…
👉 Progress doesn’t happen just because we say it.
👉 Progress only happens when we embrace change.
And change? It’s messy. It’s uncomfortable. It requires us to let go of old habits, push past resistance, and do the things we’d rather avoid.
So here’s my question for you this week:
👉 Where in your life are you calling yourself a “work in progress” but resisting the very changes that would move you forward?
👉 And what’s one small shift you can make right now to turn that phrase into reality?
