Yoga is a practice — a practice I was introduced to in my forties while dealing with a frozen shoulder.
I lived with frozen shoulder for over a year. Through yoga, massage therapy, acupuncture, and physical therapy, it finally released.
No shots. No pills. No surgery.
My choice.

For months, I practiced yoga unable to fully straighten my arm in many poses. One day, a fellow student approached me after class to acknowledge the difference he had noticed in my range of motion over time. That moment stayed with me — a quiet reminder that healing was happening, even when I couldn’t always see it myself.

Later, I moved to California, where I studied yoga and became certified. What followed was a deeply healing journey. I maintained a daily practice — sometimes twice a day — and through that devotion, I experienced profound emotional releases of grief and anger, as well as moments of joy, peace, and strength.

It was a true journey of healing the mind, body, and soul.

Yoga changed my life and will always be a part of it. Yoga is not just what happens on the mat — it is woven into how I live my life off the mat as well.

Yoga is a practice of presence, not perfection. It’s not about mastering poses, but about showing up, listening, and learning along the way. You don’t need to be flexible or strong to begin—self-awareness, patience, and mindfulness are the real practice.

With time, strength and flexibility come, but it’s the consistency and intention that truly transform you. Every moment on your mat is progress. Honor where you are, keep practicing, and let yoga support your growth—exactly as you are. 🌱

Santa is getting warmed up for the big day! Whatever you have going on, whether you are celebrating or struggling, we have a full schedule of classes on Tuesday: 7:30 AM, Grief Relief with Chanda; 10:00 AM, Bend and Breathe with Karen; 6:00 PM, Vinyasa Vibes with Missy. Remember, we will not be having our stronger Wednesday night classes for the next two weeks due to holidays, so try to get to Missy’s Tuesday night classes

Holy Fire II Karuna® Reiki Master teacher Sound Healing with crystal and Tibetan bowls and gongs Vedic Educator of the Chopra Center, certified in yoga, meditation and Ayurveda nutrition Warriors At Ease Certified, working with the military iRest Level 2 teacher in training SUP certified yoga teacher Pain management and stress relief through integration of massage, Reiki, sound esential oils. Teaching mind body awareness through yoga, meditation and massage. Private yoga sessions for all levels at my location. Private sessions or corporate yoga to your location. Meditation does for the mind what the gym does for the body, relieving stress, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia and more.
