If youโ€™re doing all the things and still feeling exhausted, inflamed, and out of balance, this might be why.

Perimenopause is a unique season, and what used to work for your body might now be doing more harm than good. Here are 3 common habits that can actually make this transition harder:

1. Overtraining

High-intensity workouts every day might feel productive, but they spike cortisol which is already elevated during perimenopause. This means more inflammation, poor recovery, and hormone chaos.

โœจ Do this instead: Prioritize strength training, walking, and low-impact movement to build muscle, support metabolism, and calm the nervous system.

2. Skipping meals

Delaying breakfast or going long hours without food messes with blood sugar, leading to mood swings, sleep issues, and energy crashes.

โœจ Do this instead: Eat balanced meals every 3โ€“4 hours with protein, fat, and fibre to keep blood sugar stable and hormones happy.

3. Low-carb extremes
