Our handlers/horses are all registered with PetPartners. We are a non-profit organization, serving the DFW area, who schedules visits to bring smiles to children in medical care facilities, children with disabilities, schools, geriatrics, veterans, first responders and their families. We also offer an Anti-Bullying program to schools and groups of children called "Just Say WHOA To Bullying". Hospi

ce visits are provided as requested. We can arrange for Scouts and groups to work on badges or service projects. Outside of DFW with special arrangements.

Hello Tuesday. Well, it’s back to cooler temps and rain so the horses will be in their stalls and covered turnouts. Weather doesn’t seem to care that we have a visit tomorrow and need a horse bathed.

Hope you all enjoy the day - oh, the video was taken yesterday morning and at first you can’t see them across the pasture but then zoom in. Watch to the end.

‘Not today, Levi. Not today!’
Levi loves to pester little Hero much like a little brother but this is his only means of defending himself.

It’s Monday and off to work I go. We let them all go out for a few hours on the grass but today Lady and the two littles will go to the paddock and will put the three boys out in the back pasture. Giving the front pasture a much needed rest.

Have a great start to the week.

The full scene from this morning.
Think it says it all itself.
After church and lunch I started mowing while the guys worked on the cabin some more. Time for me to hit the shower and go to bed. I do have a “find” to share hopefully later.

Good Sunday morning. Little chilly this morning but warming up in the wonderful sunshine. Should reach a pleasant 72 degrees today. 🌞

Here are some pictures of the minis in the paddock. Still little muddy/wet to turn out to pasture but maybe this afternoon. You see Levi kicking up his heels. Will post a couple of videos later. Gotta get to church.

Hello Saturday. What a change in the weather. Yesterday’s sunshine and warmth was transformed into a rainy chilly night. Starting our day with rain and temps in lower 50’s with a high today in low 60’s. Not much warm up. Just glad no severe weather. All that to say the minis will enjoy a day of rest and hay. Hopefully turnouts will be dry enough to give a little more room. Yes, I’m late getting around - that rain just lulled me to sleep. Plus I was tad bit tired after grocery shopping and then mowing most of the acreage yesterday.

Y’all have a good day and hopefully your weather is good.

Good morning - it’s Friday!
(Video is from last night bringing the horses into the barn.) But this morning we are starting the day in upper 60’s and to reach 80. Sounds like a perfect day.

So much to do in not sure where to start. Need to mow all the pastures (should have sprayed the weeds but I’ll just hop ‘em down, ha). Oh and there’s going to the grocery store first to beat the crowds as much as possible - so that’ll be first. After tending all the animals first of course. Looks like more rain tonight.

Whatever your plans are today, hope it’s a good day and all is well.

Brotherly love between these two is strong. One always looks for the other and waits to join up. Then the grooming begins. But it can be just as fast as it starts it is over. Sometimes it’s longer, others it’s brief … but never far apart.

This pic was taken yesterday morning as I let them out to pasture. It rained a good bit last night so we will have to see if possible to let them out today. It looks to be a beautiful day.

Start your day with a positive mindset. "Every day may not be good… but there's something good in every day". Be thankful.

It’s Wednesday and we should be preparing for a visit to Children’s Hospital of Dallas but we canceled it’s hard to make this decision as your heart wants to go but in lieu of my recent illness - I “think” I’m okay isn’t good enough. With having had a nasty virus with fever we always opt for being safe when around these fragile children. We will be back there next month. Disappointing yes but it was the right decision.

Love early morning in the barn before most of the world starts moving. Horses in their stalls munching on breakfast before they are turned out and listening to the birds singing as I muck. All is good.

So far all the possible bad weather has gone around us - not complaining mind you. Might get another shower or storm to start the day tomorrow. Typical spring weather I suppose. We’ve had our share of damaging storms in the past. Did you know in 2017 we had a severe storm that took the roof off of half our barn? Don’t want to go through that again. Took us months to recover and rebuild. Please no repeats.

Wishing all a good Tuesday. I’m continuing to regain my strength from a virus and may affect us going to Children’s tomorrow.

Sorry for such ate post but not feeling well. Running a fever, achy and tremendous headache.

So we have Patches, one of our barn cats watching over the horses.

This was Hope when she was itty bitty! It’s the before and after pics of her when she was clipped. Over the years she has lost that reddish color especially to her chest during the winter months.

Speaking of clipping - might be doing some of that now as we get into the 60’s at night.
