Our handlers/horses are all registered with PetPartners. We are a non-profit organization, serving the DFW area, who schedules visits to bring smiles to children in medical care facilities, children with disabilities, schools, geriatrics, veterans, first responders and their families. We also offer an Anti-Bullying program to schools and groups of children called "Just Say WHOA To Bullying". Hospice visits are provided as requested. We can arrange for Scouts and groups to work on badges or service projects. Outside of DFW with special arrangements.

Put together some snippets from photos taken yesterday after their blankets were removed and they were turned out. Should have made video from the get go.
Another hard freeze coming tonight but look out the weekend. Not only dipping way below freezing for a few night but adding ice and snow!!! This is the part of winter I dislike most.

But for today it’s horses out and I have to work while hubby recovers from another fall. Nothing seemed to be broken yet not right. Took to Urgent Care and the X-rays they took didn’t take right so radiologist couldn’t read. 🧐 Wishing everyone a happy day.

Uggh … but we can do this. Just read Tuesday is not looking good - Icy weather 🥶

Not ready for this weather … but honestly I never will be. Phone app says 14 but our clock that measures outdoor and indoor temp says 19. With way it’s COLD 🥶. As you see in pictures everyone has their blankets on. But it’s to get up to 57 so the blankets can’t stay on but decisions decisions - leave the them stalled and let them out a little later or let them out in small pasture where can get to them easily to remove. Before church or after. It’s to be 45 at noon. Decisions decisions of an animal caregiver.

Have a great Sunday and hope you are warmer wherever you are.

Hello Saturday!

Today’s picture is of Hope and Hero. Hope is an Appaloosa mare and Hero is a Pinto/Paint gelding. They are both miniature horses carrying dwarf gene. Both are being cared for under both an equine veterinarian and farrier. We do not condone breeding for dwarfs but if they are healthy and happy then we feel they deserve to live. What most people don’t understand is that they have a very small bone structure yet they have the same size organs as the normal size minis. All those organs have to go somewhere and it’s in the belly. They are not fat. Well, they might be carrying a few extra pounds but a lot of what you see now is their long winter fluffy fur.
We believe in educating people about the dwarfs but will not tolerate downright cruel and nasty comments so watch your comments and remember just because a thought comes to your mind it doesn’t have to come out of your mouth. Ask questions if you want to learn but rudeness is not the way. Let’s keep this page great for everyone. Thanks

Several have asked what the inside of the van looks like. Here you go. We can put several in there but Hope thinks it’s ALL her space. 😂

Love our TikTok poster.

Hey, it’s Friday y’all … and farrier day for all except the two dwarves- Hope and Hero. They have their own farrier. Today is usually my day off but covering for a co-worker on vacation.
Tad bit warmer starting off at 45 but windchill is 37.
Have a great day everyone whether it’s cold, warm or rainy. It’s the attitude that matters.

(Oh and on a word of caution since we’ve picked up a lot more new people. Certain comments will get you blocked so as your mama should have taught you, you don’t have to say everything that you think.)

Hello Thursday! So glad it didn’t get as cold as predicted last night but 28 is certainly cold enough!

Monarch is such a handsome guy. He will be 14 years old come the end of May. He was our first horse to become registered with PetPartners and is our tallest. He is great with all ages. Loves babies and knows how to be very still when surrounded by a group of kiddos. But he does love his pasture time. Always ready to lead. He truly is a blessing.

Just when I think the morning sunrise can’t get any prettier I get another! What an amazing way to start the day.

We spend so much time sweating the small stuff; worrying, wishing, wanting, waiting for something bigger, instead of focusing on the simple blessings that surround us every day. Life is fragile and all it takes is a single moment to change everything you take for granted.

Make it a beautiful and meaningful day.

Today is National Sticker Day!
Can’t thank Bryn Courey enough for creating our logo back in 2013.
We have our logo on stickers that we pass out to the ones we visit / they are loved by young and old and all inbetween! 🤗

Every sunrise is an invitation to a bright new day. Here wishing everyone a blessed and wonderful day full of happiness and good health.
Not much going on here. Have a few requests for visits but they are always a couple of hours away. Funds are low this time of year with van insurance, farriers, and need for hay run. What to do, what to do. But somehow things always seems to work out.
