Enjoy while you can as rainy, stormy days roll in tomorrow evening. Trying to wrap up a few things around the place before heading into work today.

Hello, Monday and a new week!
They all stand huddled together munching in hay. Peaceful and content. All six (5+1). The seasons have changed and hardly a green blade of grass around.

There is no way around a Monday — only through it. After a long, relaxing weekend, waking up on a Monday morning to a blaring alarm can be tough, especially if you're not a morning person. But Mondays don’t have to be all that bad. In fact, they can be seen as a fresh start and the perfect day of the week to seek out new opportunities.

Hello Saturday morning! Was very tired yesterday and turned them in a tad bit early. Don’t have a whole lot planned today so hopefully won’t get so tired. Have a “baby shower” for a great granddaughter on Jim’s side tomorrow afternoon to get ready for. 🤰🏻Due early January.

Another grouping of pictures from our visit to Ronald McDonald House of Dallas a week ago. Love walking the courtyard with these precious children.

Thursday often flies under the radar. It’s not the daunting beginning like Monday, nor the celebrated finish like Friday — but it’s quietly one of the most important days of the week. It’s the perfect day to refocus and renew your energy and a reminder that you’ve already survived most of the week.

Awe we find ourselves in the middle of the week again. Yep it’s hump day or Wednesday.

Normally Wednesdays (except the first) we go to three different hospitals regularly but November through spring we stop for winter break. So you’ll get lots of pasture pictures during this time.

Don’t forget that we do still have a few items in our shop for Christmas giving. It’ll be here before you know it.

To all those who served and gave all, we honor you. To those serving today, such as our grandson, we pray God will bless and watch over you. Our own Jim was an officer in the Air Force. His older brother was a two time Purple Heart recipient who served in the Army and Jim’s son also served in the Airforce. My own brothers also served, the oldest in the Marines (as did his son/my nephew) and my younger, yet older than me brother served in the Army. Prayers for the families of those serving. Our “Valor of Honor” stands in honor of all of you past and present. Thank you for your service.

People, including myself, need to stop and appreciate what the people in the military gave for us and be more respectful.

Therapy Horses are useful for children with disabilities, which uses a horse's interaction to improve physical and emotional well-being. They can help and encourage with physical challenges like balance, coordination, helping to improve muscle tone, and can also address psychological needs by building confidence, social skills, and non-verbal communication. At Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Monarch is very perceptive regarding the physical challenges of the individuals he meets. Sometimes that comes with a little nudge to say you got this.

One of our three barn cats. This is Cream Puff.
