The official page of Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services (FCNS) FCNS is totally self-sufficient.

Food and Child Nutrition Services (FCNS) provides approximately 125,000 lunch meals, 98,000 breakfast meals and 10,000 after school meals daily at over 219 school sites. In addition, during the summer we provide approximately 300,000 summer meals at Dallas ISD schools and other non-school sites. FCNS has its own warehouse operation that distributes 28,000 cases per week, a production kitchen that distributes 36,000 meals a week to satellite schools and technology services that manages over 800 computers.

Today we celebrated World School Milk Day at Truett Elementary with our amazing sponsor, Oak Farms! 🥛✨ They brought along their strong and fun mascot, Muculus the muscle cow, plus a throwback milk delivery man from the old days to share cool facts about milk and healthy fats.

During lunchtime, students enjoyed special donations from Dairy Max, while Muculus joined them in the cafeteria with music, fun, and plenty of smiles. 🎶🐄💪

It was a day full of surprises, laughter, and the joy of celebrating the power of milk together!

Every Friday, students in Dallas ISD enjoy a fresh fruit or vegetable from our local farmers as part of Farm Fresh Fridays! This month, Chef King is sharing a delicious Peach Jam recipe for families and the community to try at home.
Each month, Farm Fresh Fridays features a different fresh, local item for our students to enjoy—bringing the best seasonal flavors from the farm straight to our schools.
Students are loving their fresh fruit every Friday—join us in celebrating local flavors all year long!
