đ¨ Disappointed Longtime Customers đ¨
Weâve been loyal members and customers of IPIC Theaters in Allen, TX for 8+ years, going to movies at least 3 times a month â always with dinner and drinks. We supported you every weekend during COVID and always raved about IPIC to our friends and family.
But sadly, tonight marked our last visit.
A year ago, the new bar manager told us buckets of beer were no longer allowed. Disappointing, but we respected the change. Then the buckets came back â and we didnât question it. But now, on a Saturday night, the bar manager comes to our seats to tell us â once again â that buckets arenât allowed, citing a new rule (not a state law).
We challenged him, politely, and were told this is just how it is now. The same âruleâ he tried to enforce a year ago. We hadnât even opened our tab fully â the movie hadnât started â but the bar manager refused to refund us without a GM present. Really?
So we walked out. Weâll dispute the charge with our credit card company. We were embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly â heartbroken. Weâve been the definition of loyal guests.
Ever since the last GM left, itâs been one issue after another. The experience, the service, the spirit of hospitality â all gone. Weâve had enough.
To our amazing server: it wasnât your fault. You were kind and professional. Weâre sorry youâre caught in this.
