You’ve mastered holding it all together for EVERYONE. Your boss, your co-workers, your family and your friends. You feel like you're doing a pretty good job, but theres this guilt that plays in your head like "can I take some time just for me?" And you want real time for yourself, not just a day off to do your errands.
I was like that too. And it felt like no one was going to stop me or my determination to over-work myself. So, I had to make the decision on my own because I was tired of being tired. When I noticed I designated time slots for certain tasks and added a REAL LUNCH HOUR so I could eat, and a ME TIME slot for me to take a yoga class or take a walk a small change started to happen. I started to smile more! I had something to look forward too every day! And the more I smiled, the more joy started to authentically come back in my life. I was beginning to feel like a NEW me. One that was feeling connection, happiness, love and gratitude.
That brought me to this one thought:
High-achieving women don’t burn out because they’re incapable. They burn out because they never let themselves unravel.

If you’re in a season where everything feels heavy,
a divorce, a career shift, being overworked and underpaid, constantly taking care of everyone else, trying to “hold it together” while keeping a smile in your face... this is burnout. Deep burnout.

And here’s the truth we don’t talk about enough:
some transitions are not meant to be done alone.

I know this because I’ve been there- more than once. It feels like every decade (for me) life asks me to shed a version of myself and step into something new. Last year, I went through it again… and I didn’t white-knuckle my way through. I got support. I used tools. I let myself be held.
