Search for Myrtle Polk continues after car found in creek

The search for 88-year-old Myrtle Polk continues. Her car was found this week in a creek in southern Dallas on Lancaster Road. Friday, her son, Philip Polk, traveled into town and visited that site for the first time.

After 17 months with no clues, Dallas police have found the car of 88-year-old Myrtle Polk, who vanished in June 2024. Her family says finding the vehicle brings both pain and renewed hope as the search for her continues. NBC 5’s Vince Sims has the story.

Facebook family, its been a long while but there is an update in the Myrtle Polk case even though its tough. The family thanks you all for the continued care, love and positive support. This not over but there is now a bit more clarity. We still search.

Myrtle Polk, a beloved community member and former Dallas ISD teacher, has been missing since June 8, 2024.

Today marks 1 year since I found out my mom went missing. Not alot of words for today but I do want to thank everyone who hold me and my family up in prayer and love.
