Til the first of the year I'll be sharing supplement info...this is my fourth post...check my wall for the others. Creatine is naturally found in your body but depletes so supplementation can help with your progress to gain more muscle. Creatine also pulls fluid into the cells of your muscle fibers, which makes them look more pumped...this is known as volumization. So Creatine is good for muscle gain, and looking more pumped but also breaking out of plateaus. I would recommend creatine with some caution and use in a full program regimen. [12/29/12]   Til the first of the year I'll be sharing supplement info...this is my third post...check my wall for the others. I recommend a good daily vitamin. I currently use Gaspari's Anavite but research to see what your needs are based on your dietary intake. Getting the right balance of vitamins and minerals is essential when it comes to muscle growth. They can help in transportation of protein around the body and also in the release of muscle growing hormones as well as good overall health and immune response.

[12/28/12]   Like I posted yesterday I'll be sharing supplement info...another important supplement to add to your program would be BCAA's...Branched Chain Amino Acids. Anyone who is looking to put on more muscle or gain more energy naturally without any side effects should very seriously consider taking BCAA's. Check sites like Wikipedia or bodybuilding.com for more info on how to incorporate into your program or contact me to help you build a program.

[12/26/12]   December 26th and only five days til a new year and I'm sure some of you are shopping for supplements to get yourself prepared for your ny resolutions of getting fit so from now til 1st I'll give you some advice on supplements and when to use them. But I will go on record stating I prefer you eat natural, whole food for most of your nutrients! I'll start off with telling you an important part of your program should include a post workout drink that is in your gym bag, prepared and ready to drink right after your workout. This should be made up of whey protein and glutamine. Within 30-45 min after your workout and drinking your shake you should eat a meal with protein and a complex carb. This is very general info as everyone's program is different and goals are different and workout times are different...if you need more tailored advice check out my website for rates and contact me.

[12/24/12]   If you're getting like me and it's getting tougher to pass on the sweets do what I'm doing...I'm increasing my water intake and adding just a little Crystal Light to my gallon to satisfy the sweet craving and I'm making my protein pancakes to have on hand to eat when I have that holiday sweet craving...the recipe is a few posts below.

Making protein pancakes from a recent video shoot with Bobby Schandra. Great way to start a morning, scoop of choc whey, scoop of van whey, tbsp pb, 5 egg whites, banana, walnuts, mix together & cook like a pancake!

[11/27/12]   In a hurry for breakfast? Try one of my favorite meal replacement shakes perfect for the morning...

Five egg whites
½ cup whole oats
½ cup blueberries and strawberries
1 scoop Jay Robb Vanilla whey protein
10-16 oz plain water
6oz Fage 0% all natural yogurt

Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix and drink.
527 Calories, 3g fat, 46g protein, 6g fiber, 16g sugar and a whopping 73g protein. Want to bring down the sugar and protein down a little then just drop out the yogurt.

[10/26/12]   One of my favorite protein packed snacks...
One scoop Jay Robb Vanilla whey protein powder
One small container of Fage 0 fat plain greek yogurt
mix those two together til a pudding consistency and add
1/2 cup blueberries or your favorite berry with some walnuts or 1/2 cup diced apples and walnuts...very good!!!
