Heal Women. Heal the World.

ElevateHer is on a mission to help women flourish beyond trauma. From the Dallas County Jail to communities in Brazil and Congo, we’ve seen that healing is the foundation for leadership and change.

Now, we’re heading to Malaysia, Kenya, and Haiti. ✈️

Our goal this May is to fully fund these upcoming programs:
    •    Malaysia Retreat: $5,000 needed
    •    Kenya Leadership Training: $7,500 needed
    •    Haiti Healing Retreat: $5,000 needed

Our impact is clear: 95% of participants report improved well-being and a greater sense of empowerment.

Your gift provides the tools these women need to lead their families and communities into a brighter future.

Can we count on you for a one-time gift to help us reach our $18,500 goal?

Keisha, we cannot thank you enough for the way you gently and compassionately led our leaders. You helped us see that new life can emerge from grief. Thank you for helping us learn how to mange grief so we live and lead effectively. Grief is not disqualify us for leadership.

Last week, we sat with Radio Bonne Nouvelle, a Haitian radio station reaching approximately 5,000 Haitian listeners in the community of Long Branch/Asbury Park New Jersey.

Usually the radio host would have listeners call in to ask questions but because of the nature of the topic, he knew no one would call in and he was right. So we prepared ahead of time questions we knew listeners would ask if they weren’t afraid.

Questions that helped define domestic violence, red flags in relationships, its impact on women, kids and community, why people are afraid to speak up and get out, what makes it hard to leave violent relationships and how leaders, friends and family can support victims.

Needless to say we had a great conversation. We pray these seeds planted will help create safety in the family. Stay tuned for more opportunities to learn and change the system of silence especially when there’s violence.

Thank you Mercy Center of NJ for sponsoring this outreach and supporting Haitian communities in NJ.

Last week our board chair and executive coach Hollie taught our leaders how to manage leading while bleeding.

She said: “Unaddressed pain can impact decisions, relationships and leadership style.”

She helped our leaders learn how to address their pain and create healthy habits in order to lead well.

Thank you Hollie for serving the women of ElevateHer well.

It’s mental health awareness month! Practicing good mental health isn’t just something you do when life slows down or when things finally “get better.”

It’s often found in the everyday choices we make especially on the hard days.

It’s choosing the song that lifts your spirit.
Choosing to go for the walk.
Choosing to answer the phone and talk it out.
Choosing rest without guilt.
Choosing joy, connection, laughter, community, and hope.

Healing rarely happens all at once.
It happens one intentional decision at a time.

At ElevateHer, we believe women deserve accessible, trauma-informed, faith-rooted pathways toward healing and wholeness. That’s why we continue creating spaces and resources where women can heal, grow, and thrive in community.

Because when women heal, communities heal too.

For the last two weeks, Betty has been leading our leadership cohort through powerful conversations about the barriers that often keep people from entering the healing journey.

She reminded us that barriers are real and that healing begins when people are met with compassion, when their stories are heard, and when they are believed.

This is why we invest in leaders. Because when leaders are trauma-informed, women and communities become safer. Healing becomes more accessible. And people are able to move from survival toward wholeness.

Thank you, Betty, for blessing our community with your wisdom, compassion, and gifts. We are grateful for the way you lead and create space for healing.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work translating “Does God See Me?” into French “Est-Ce Que Dieu Me Voit”and we’re thrilled to share that the translation is officially complete.

This milestone was made possible through the brilliance, care, and dedication of three Haitian women scholars who poured their hearts into this project. What an honor to see women helping bring healing resources to women across languages and communities.

Now, we have beta readers in Haiti, the DRCongo, Canada, and the USA helping us ensure quality, clarity, and cultural relevance before launch.

And we need your help:

* Pray with us as we work to secure the remaining resources needed to complete this project well.

* Give to the project. It costs $26 to place a book into the hands of a woman in need, helping provide trauma-informed, faith-rooted healing resources.

* Partner with us to distribute these books to communities that need them most.

* Join our launch team and invite us into your churches, organizations, and communities.

This is more than a book translation. It’s about making healing accessible across borders, languages, and stories.

If you’ve ever felt like traditional approaches to healing didn’t fully “see” you; you’re not wrong.

Too often, care asks women to separate parts of themselves:
their faith from their mental health
their culture from their healing
their story from their survival

But real healing doesn’t divide; it integrates.

Contextualized trauma care is about creating spaces where women are seen fully and supported holistically.
