When I say the word “SURRENDER” what do you think of? What images does it bring to mind? ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Does the idea of surrender make you feel empowered or restricted?⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Does the idea of surrender mean you are losing?⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Does the idea of surrender mean you are not good enough?⁣
⁣⁣
⁣I see many people working so hard to get results and yet their results seldom come. It is possible to work so hard and work yourself into a worse situation.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣You see - when you are always busy that means you cannot see opportunity. You cannot spot opportunity when you are in the middle of commitments. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Many people say “yes” to everything, when in reality I believe you should “no” to almost everything.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣When you surrender you are admitting your own insufficiencies. This is actually the most powerful thing you can do. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Knowing your limits promotes freedom because it teaches you how to lean on others. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Here are some things to surrender so that you can be better:⁣
⁣⁣
⁣1. Surrender to perfectionism⁣
⁣2. Surrender to a finite destination⁣
⁣3. Surrender your negative self image⁣
⁣4. Surrender chronic toxic thinking patterns⁣
⁣5. Surrender your relationships⁣
⁣6. Surrender things that don’t serve you well⁣
⁣7. Surrender your schedule⁣
⁣8. Surrender your business growth and metrics⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Begin to ask yourself - “what do I really want?”⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Is it Respect?⁣
⁣Honor?⁣
⁣Intimacy?⁣
⁣Freedom?⁣
⁣⁣
⁣I believe these things are waiting for all of us. We do not have to find them. They are here now, but we can’t realize them. We have to surrender our own timeline and surrender how we think it should look.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣You are important, relevant, and matter. That is not dictated by followers or money. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Your purpose and identity is not in what you do or how many you help. The depth to which you help others is what matters, but your identity, it will never change.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣You are you - and that is lovely and enough. ⁣

The head and neck sit atop the shoulders, spine, and pelvis, and all are integrally linked.

As we sit, we neglect our muscles, so they atrophy and become less and less able to do their jobs. The body then adapts to the position you put it in.

This lack of appropriate muscular stimulation cannot be undone without introducing the needed stimuli. You must use those muscles, not just manipulate them or passively move them. Therefore, introducing a stimulus that asks our muscles to reposition our spine and pelvis is ideal.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction somewhere else in the human chain. To zoom in and treat one problem is not ideal.

We must zoom out.

When we zoom out, we will not only have a healthy neck, but also a healthy spine, healthy joints, more energy, more flexibility, and more stability.

Performing the sequences I am suggesting for 14 days in a row will provide those needed stimuli.

If you don’t move and choose to do nothing, then you are choosing something: Pain.

Healing can happen for you in as little as 20 minutes a day. A few gentle exercises, a journal, a cup of tea, and some genuine self examination. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Healing will lead to more productivity in every area of your life. Healing will lead to physical, emotional, and psychological breakthroughs. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Healing ultimately leads to performance gains and you operating in your best space! ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Pain is a warning sign of something that needs to be addressed. It is your body giving feedback and sending a vital message.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣So how do we decipher those messages for you at Reset? ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣We use movement as a diagnostic tool and an entry point into understanding the human condition. We fix not only injuries, but we support you in changing how you think about yourself and your body. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣We take in a variety of information from you and your body and determine what priorities are most pertinent to you as you are today. We understand that the body is infinitely complex, so we build upon the work of previous generations. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣We are adaptable, much like you.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣We work with you to navigate your goals and show you that perhaps enduring more physical hardship is not what you need.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣Perhaps you need a dose of slowing down, being thorough, relaxing, surrendering, and succumbing to your finite abilities. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣As much as we work consciously, we also explore the subconscious. ⁣Sometimes these revelations are stated in sessions and sometimes not. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣We are compassionate humans with an understanding of the frailty of the human condition.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣We desire that all people would experience freedom in all dimensions. ⁣

Have you ever thought about why it is that you know you need to workout but it is so difficult to stick with it? What is that oppositional force that opposes us when we try to do what we know is good for us?⁣
⁣⁣
⁣My theory is that when our body knows something is not good for us, deep down, it finds a way to keep us from pursuing those things.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Many people don’t workout because their picture of health, wellness, and getting in shape looks and feels more like a form of punishment.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣It is not nurturing, thorough, gentle, expansive, rebalancing, understanding, and restorative.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣It is harsh, brutal, violent, and cruel. It breaks us down rather than build us up.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣The subconscious knows this, so it says, “No, I’m fine. We can skip today.”⁣
⁣⁣
⁣When something is good for your body, the body and mind gravitate to it. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣The reason you can’t stay with CrossFit, marathon training, Camp Gladiator, or SoulCycle is because your body is trying to tell you, “I don’t want it.”⁣
⁣⁣
⁣These activities may be great for others, but if you are having trouble sticking to your plan, please take an introspective look. Could your body be asking you to reconsider? It doesn’t matter if all of your friends are obsessed with one; it only matters what works best for your body.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣It is important to heed your body’s own internal wisdom. No one knows you better than you do. ⁣

Movement and stillness have incredible potential to unlock something within you! TRY THIS EXERCISE FOR 5 MINUTES STRAIGHT!!! 😳🤝🙏. Be still. MOVE SLOW! ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣At Reset, movement is not something we have to do, it is something we get to do. It is fun, playful, experimental, and developmental. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Do you feel refreshed after workouts? Do you feel balanced, centered, and ready to take on all challenges after you are done?⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Personally, this is how I’d rather feel, not sore, exhausted, or stiff. If this change interest you, then we will work well together.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣I use movement to help you express what’s inside of you. Movement is powerful. It helps us realize our fears, biases, undealt trauma, and trapped emotions. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Movement helps us have monumental breakthroughs in all areas of our life.⁣

If you slow down and take the path of gentleness, you can set your body free. All the aches and pains you have can be eliminated with a slow and deliberate routine. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣The goal of all routines (also known as sequences) is to put your body in a position that allows for lost functions to be restored. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣Another aspect is to put isolated stimuli on muscle groups that may not be carrying their weight in larger movement patterns. This brings the body into balance and promotes healing.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣Providing balance to the human structure will always bring about healing.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣You do not have to go to extremes like deep tissue massage, cupping, or other abusive methods that make you wince.⁣ Pain actually doesn’t always provide gain. ⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣YOU CANNOT HEAL THE BODY BY PUNISHING IT.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣The body wants to be supported. Massage and chiropractic alone cannot do that. Although they are useful modalities, they are limited in their ability to change the two main components of a thriving musculoskeletal system: (1) neuromuscular control and (2) neuromuscular efficiency. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Massage and chiropractic can remove energy blocks and reset nerve impulses via passive mechanisms. But there is no guarantee that you will be able to control this newfound range.⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣It really is as simple as giving the body a reason to change. Allow your body the chance to heal itself. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣The body needs ACTIVE and PASSIVE stimuli. ⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣Here are 5 exercises that are extremely simple and powerful.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣1. Static Back Crunches⁣
⁣2. Cats and dogs⁣
⁣3. Kneeling counter stretch⁣
⁣4. Half kneeling quad stretch⁣
⁣5. Seated groin squeezes w arms overhead ⁣

Our Story

• For 17 years Jon-Eric Fountain has helped individuals become better physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. At Reset Training, we use simple exercises and massage therapy to help people whose bodies are in disharmony. The process of consistency and taking time to slow down allows the body to heal.
