Hi and welcome to your next step in getting healthy! My name is Shayla Ryder and my focus is YOU! My own fitness journey began in 1997. I started reading and learning about the body and what it needs to not only lose weight, but to be HEALTHY as well. Dieting alone DOES NOT work and exercising alone DOES NOT work; but put them together and you have the power to CHANGE YOUR LIFE! My Grandfather was diabetic, overweight and year by year growing weaker from inactivity. He had issues that kept him from being as active as he once was, but the things he could control he was not doing. I wanted so badly for him to be more proactive with his health! I was devastated when he passed and I felt he was gone too soon. I couldn't change his way of living but my goal is to change as many others as I can. In 2007 I decided to combine my love for fitness and my desire to help others change their life. I received my Coopers Personal Training Certificate and stated training clients as LA Fitness. A few months into this I realized there was something missing...YOGA! I expanded my knowledge and became a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. In 2008 I opened Transform U Fitness or what has come to be known simply as TUF. The TUF community is like no other. We come from all walks of life but we all have the same ultimate goal and that is to BE HEALTHY! We support each other on big goals, small goals and everything in between. As a Personal Trainer, my focus is to give you the knowledge and necessary tools needed to live a healthy lifestyle, not just for today, but for many years to come. I understand how difficult it can be to make the decision to change the way you live but you do not have to do it alone. I am here to help you every step of the way. Together we can meet your goals!

This combo move hits your front delts, rear delts, and upper back in one smooth motion.

Stand tall, feet hip-width apart, core tight.
• Hold dumbbells by your sides palms facing each other.

Lift both arms straight up in front to shoulder height, palms still facing in.

From here, open your arms wide into a reverse fly, squeeze the shoulder blades together.

Bring your arms back to the front, meeting at shoulder height.

Lower the weights back down to your sides.

👉 That’s one full rep.

Want to fire up your core and chest at the same time? Try this BOSU push-up with knee-to-elbow.

Start in a strong plank, hands pressing into the flat side of the BOSU, shoulders stacked.

Lower down into a push-up, press up, and then bring your knee in toward your elbow. Keep your abs tight, hips low.

Alternate sides for every rep. Chest, triceps, shoulders, obliques, everything’s working.

Add this to your workout and feel the burn 🔥. Save this for later, and hit follow for more BOSU + bodyweight combos!

Want to build a strong, defined back? This move is a must, let’s hit those lats with a seated close-grip pulldown.

👊 Setup:
• Attach D-handles to the cable pulldown.
• Sit tall on the bench or floor with core tight.
• Grab the handles with palms facing in, arms extended overhead.

💪 Movement:
• Pull the handles down toward your upper chest, keeping elbows close to your sides.
• Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the bottom, pause for a second.
• Slowly return to the start, keeping control.

🔥 Coaching Cues:
• Think: Chest up, elbows down.
• Keep your movements smooth and controlled for maximum muscle engagement.

Want to fire up your core AND shoulders at the same time? Try this BOSU + medicine ball move!

Kneel on the BOSU ball to challenge your balance. Hold the medicine ball at chest level.

From here, press it straight out in front, then lift it up overhead.
Bring it back down slow and controlled. That’s one rep.

🔥 Pro Tip!
• Keep your core tight so you don’t tip off.
• Squeeze your glutes for stability.
• Move the ball with control, not momentum.

⚡ Try 3 rounds of 12 reps to light up your shoulders, arms, and abs.
