Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a 10-week, evidence-based group for parents who want to strengthen their relationship with their child and better support their emotional and behavioral needs. The group teaches caregivers foundational skills from child-centered play therapy, including reflective listening, limit setting, and ways to build connection and confidence through weekly 30-minute play sessions at home. Ideal participants are parents of children ages 3–10 who are experiencing mild to moderate behavioral, emotional, or relational concerns. Each week, the group includes a combination of teaching, discussion, experiential activities, and support around participants’ play sessions. Parents are asked to complete a short weekly assignment (like practicing a new skill or holding a play session) and reflect on how the experience went. CPRT is designed to help caregivers feel more confident and connected, and to help children feel seen, understood, and emotionally safe. Contact our office today for more information!
