Heart Of Autism

Heart Of Autism Autism: Advocate Educate Love. The mission of Heart of Autism is to fund research for the causes and possible cure for autism. Thank you for your support.

We aim to raise public awareness about autism and we fund scholarships to underprivileged families touched by autism who cannot afford therapy. We strive to empower and support adults on the spectrum to be full members of their communities. We pride ourselves in being a local grassroots organization run by volunteers only. All 100% of monies raised at our annual Gala will go directly to our causes. Once autism was thought to affect only one in 10,000 children. Today, it is reported one in 68 children, one in 42 boys, are diagnosed with this devastating neurological disorder that affects families, schools, and the community at large. Research, awareness, advocacy and services are critical and we hope you will help us get one step closer to achieving these.

The cards are doing more than getting him outside; they’re also bringing back the joy he lost when the pandemic began. “Everything is limited for him now and just being able to go for walks is one thing that he can still do that he still likes,” Amanda added. “And there’s a reward for him, and that’s his mail.”

During the novel coronavirus pandemic lockdown, Carson Swazey, who is on the autism spectrum, was feeling really down.
