AAC devices are a powerful tool in speech therapy. They give children a way to communicate their wants, needs, and ideas, even if verbal speech is still developing. 💬

Using AAC doesn’t take away from speech. It supports it. By reducing frustration and giving kids a voice, AAC helps build confidence, encourages interaction, and can even support the development of spoken language over time.

Every child deserves a way to be heard. 💛

Have you ever seen or used an AAC device? We’d love to hear your experience.

Many families worry that speaking multiple languages at home might confuse their child or slow down their speech. But research shows that bilingualism is a strength, not a setback. 💛

Children are capable of learning more than one language, and it can actually support their overall development and understanding of the world around them.

If you have concerns about your child’s speech or language development, a speech therapist can help determine what’s typical for bilingual development and what may need extra support.

What questions do you have about bilingual language development? 💬

Jenga is more than just a game in speech therapy. It’s a fun way to keep kids motivated and engaged while they practice new sounds and words. 🎲💛

Each turn becomes a chance to work on a sound, try a new word, or build confidence. When kids are excited to keep playing, they’re excited to keep practicing too. That’s where the real progress happens.

What games help keep your child motivated during therapy or practice at home? 💬

Articulation is an important part of speech therapy because it helps children pronounce sounds clearly and be understood by others. 💛

Targeting specific sounds, like S, Z, or R, gives kids the tools to communicate confidently in school, at home, and with friends. Through repetition, practice, and fun activities, our speech therapists help children build clarity and confidence one sound at a time.

Have you noticed a sound your child is working on lately? 💬

One of our favorite things to see during a session is a big smile. 😊 At SPT, our therapists work hard to make therapy engaging and fun while still working toward each child’s goals.

When kids are enjoying themselves, they’re more motivated to participate, explore, and learn. Those moments of laughter and play often lead to some of the best progress.

What activities make your child smile the most? 💬
