George Powell has always felt a deep calling to serve families during their most difficult times. As a funeral director, he sees his role as more than a job, it’s a ministry. Every person who walks through the doors is someone’s loved one, and George treats each family with the respect, care, and attention he would want for his own.
His inspiration came from his great uncle, who was a funeral director at their family-owned funeral home in Alabama. The business had been passed down through generations, and George admired the legacy of compassion and service his family had built. Watching his great uncle care for families with dignity left a lasting impression and planted the seed for his own path into funeral service.
One of the most rewarding parts of his work is learning the life stories of those who have passed. George finds deep meaning in hearing about their legacies, their personalities, and the impact they made. He believes that honoring a life well-lived can bring healing to a grieving heart, and he’s committed to making sure each service reflects the unique journey of the individual.
Outside of work, George enjoys traveling, discovering new foods, and simply having a good time. Whether he’s exploring a new city or sharing laughs with friends over a great meal, he believes in living fully and joyfully. It’s that same warmth and zest for life that he brings to every family he serves.
