Fatbaby’s, inspired by my infant given nickname, was conceived at a time of great challenge and hardship in my life. These challenges hit me in nearly every area of my life: health, career, finances, faith, and family. I’d come to the point that I even had to questioned my very being. There had to be more to this thing that we call life, I knew it. If I was going to get through this, I would have to trust GOD begin to embrace my new normal. This involved changing my perspective, and the way I see and processed things. I call it being positively realistic! I also needed to get back to my center. Finding myself again…
While I had a great and rewarding career, the challenges that I faced with my health made working full-time, and in a traditional work environment just about out of the question for me, forcing me to identify new ways to support myself and still fulfill my passion for helping others… Doing things that I love and enjoy. Things that feed my creative, aesthetic side and allowed me to be truly and authentically me. It is our mission at Fatbaby's to constantly develop and provide great fundraising opportunities for organizations, retail opportunities, monthly fragrances, and more!
