I’ve been gluten and dairy free for almost a decade and I have found that Dallas has some of the best variety when it comes to accessibility around food. These are my favorite restaurants around town to get anti-inflammatory options! Most of these are also seed oil free, grass-fed, and some are even organic! Not all of these are celiac friendly, but most are accommodating and understanding to your requests!

✨HG Sply Co
✨Bella Green
✨Ascenion Coffee
✨Two Hands
✨James Provisions
✨Tribal All Day Cafe
✨Company Cafe
✨Asian Mint
✨Cibo Divino
✨Whiskey Cake
✨Honorable mentions: Flower Child, True Food Kitchen, Sweet Green, Original Chop Shop, Modern Market, Hat Creek, and Cava!

Which one is your fave? And are there any you’ve never tried? Fill me in if I missed your faves!

My first solo speaking event in Atlanta last week was a massive milestone in my career and life. I’m so grateful for giving me this opportunity to stand in the spotlight and help spread the word about healthy living. I hope to have many more of these kinds of opportunities in the future to reach groups of people who might not have been able to hear this information otherwise. Education on healthy diet and lifestyle should be accessible to all, and I want to make sure everyone who needs guidance is able to receive it.

I’m so grateful to get to work alongside a provider like who is absolutely the provider I would recommend to anyone navigating chronic illness and mold toxicity. She is a detective who will not rest until she helps you feel better. I look forward to future events where we get to work together to help others feel their best!

The #1 advice I give clients when they start a GLP-1 peptide for weight loss is to keep track of muscle mass with an at-home scale like the Hume Body Pod! Use code EVERYBODY20 for 20% off if you’re ready to start your journey to better metabolic health! I compare this scale to an InBody or Dexa Scan, but in the comfort of your own home. These peptides can be very beneficial, but it’s important to maintain muscle by eating enough protein and lifting weights! The Hume Body Pod helps you keep track of progress, the right way.

Such a bummer when one of your favorite products partners with a celebrity and quality no longer matters. A little bit of sucralose in your products can add up and I will no longer be recommending this product. Hopefully they’ll bring back their stevia or monkfruit sweetened version in the future!! 🤞🏻

Test, not guess! It’s important to understand lab work in regards to what dietary changes make sense for YOU! These are a few of my favorite markers to review when it comes to building a plan specific to your needs.

The words we speak hold power over our body. When we say things like, “I feel disgusting,” or “I have been such a slob,” the body is always listening. We are SO hard on ourselves this time of year feeling like we are supposed to be living this perfect lifestyle, when this is normally a time to rest and recover ahead of the warmer months.

Listen to what your body is saying and trust it! If you feel tired, don’t push yourself to wake up earlier to work out. If you feel hungry, make sure to eat more nourishing food instead of restrict. It’s important to find balance and take on what you have space for. Movement can be stress reducing if you take it slow. 20 minutes of walking actually helps the body heal rather than depletes you!

Sleep, hydrate, spend time with community, rest, and take breaks from social media when you feel overwhelmed. Eat comforting foods that actually help regulate the body like soups, and enjoy some dark chocolate when you want a sweet treat!

The more we change our mindset, the less energetic weight we take on. Healing is possible when you learn to have gratitude for the vessel that holds us. 🙏🏻

✨The details✨
When I envisioned a backyard wedding, I imagined a day that felt familiar and comfortable which meant only having people we know work the event. That’s no small feat, but I’m so lucky to have incredibly talented family and friends who were up for the challenge. Working in the healing space, I’m so aware of energy and I really wanted love and light poured into us that day from people who knew us.

We couldn’t have done it without some of these special people and details that made our day absolutely perfect. I’m forever grateful for:
✨ who is a professional hair and makeup artist who happens to also be my best friend from high school. Spending all afternoon with you was a highlight of my day.
✨ .basso is my future brother-in-law and happens to be an incredibly talented professional photography with a gift of capturing the moments that matter most.
✨Karen is my sister-in-law who played violin during our ceremony! She gifted us with beautiful music and I will always cherish that detail.
✨My siblings: Erin, Drew, and Mia all pitched in and used their event planning experience to be rockstars and make sure everything felt completely stress free.
✨Justin’s dad, Alan, was our officiate and wrote the entire ceremony speech on his own. Justin and I had talked about him marrying us for over a half a decade!
✨ designed my gorgeous bouquet from a few inspo photos and a short description of: backyard boho with texas natives, wildflowers, and sunset vibes.
✨ made our sweet little cake of course. There’s no better gluten free cake than the loaded monkey.
✨ gifted the beeswax candles for our table and provided the night with a warm glow and energy that was uplifting and romantic.

I've been trying to find the right way to announce this news. It's not happy news to share, but is something that has brought me a lot of peace on my healing journey. I always promised to share this part of myself with the world to help others feel less alone, so here it is...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One month ago, I found out I have chronic, active, lyme disease. At first, I was shocked, saddened, and wondered how this could have possibly been missed in the 8 years I've been working with functional medicine providers...but I slept on it, and woke up with excitement realizing this was the last piece of the puzzle for me. For years, I fought for my life to get better. I thought I had done every lab to understand my case. However, that was before working in functional medicine. My brilliant coworker encouraged me to finally do a full lyme panel because the reality is that my normal baseline of health is still lower than others.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since I did DNRS in 2020, I had chosen to walk away from my life of chronic illness. I wanted to open a new door and be healed, so I did. I finally healed from SIBO and mold. With that, I felt inspired to finally step away from my photography career to follow my dreams of becoming a nutritionist. Without that healing, I wouldn't be here today. This all leads up to now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m in a very different place where my health no longer rules my life. I am no longer in fear and I no longer view myself as sick. But, that doesn’t mean I’m not dealing with things that are weakening my body. I finally have an understanding of why all of these bad things have happened to me. I finally have peace in knowing why I was lead down this road and I am relieved.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am learning what comes next and will keep everyone up to date but I am eager and excited. Thank you for always supporting me and remember that healing is possible ❤️
