A beautiful baby girl has officially made her arrival, and my heart is so full. Watching families welcome their little ones into the world is always such an honor, and this birth was no exception.

Mom did an incredible job, baby girl is doing well, and the newest chapter for this sweet family has begun.

Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. Being invited into such sacred spaces during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is something I never take for granted.

🌿 New Postpartum Journey Begins 🌿

There is something so special about walking into a home during those first tender weeks.

A new baby girl.
A mother adjusting to her new rhythm.
A home learning what life looks like now.

Today, I begin supporting a new postpartum family — and I don’t take that lightly.

Postpartum care isn’t just about holding the baby (although I will gladly do that 💕). It’s about helping mom rest. It’s about nourishing recovery. It’s about answering the questions that come at 2 AM. It’s about supporting siblings, soothing newborns, and bringing calm into a space that may feel overwhelming.

to those early newborn days filled with learning, healing, and adjusting…

Walking alongside families during this sacred season is something I never take lightly.

Postpartum support isn’t just about baby care.
It’s about steady hands during overwhelming moments.
It’s about reassurance at 3 AM.
It’s about helping a mother remember she is doing beautifully.

Today we didn’t say goodbye.

We said, “See you later.”

Today was one of those “doula on the move” kind of days 🤍

Started my morning at the hospital supporting a client during a procedure.
Headed straight to a postpartum visit.
Sat down for a powerful networking collaboration meeting.
And wrapped up my evening at a prenatal visit preparing another family for birth.

From hospital halls…
To living room couches…
To building conversations…
To birth planning sessions…

This work stretches me — but it fills me.

There’s something sacred about walking with families through every stage — before birth, during birth, and after baby arrives. And there’s something powerful about building partnerships that strengthen maternal health in our community.

Some days are busy.
Some days are beautiful.
Most days are both.

Grateful for the calling.
Grateful for the families.

Today was full.

I had the honor of vending at an event with Mesquite ISD Family Engagement, connecting with families in our community and sharing about birth support and maternal care. In between, I held virtual visits with clients — supporting, educating, and preparing for the journeys ahead.

Now I’m at the tail end of the day, intentionally slowing down. Resting. Replenishing.

Because the next three months? They are going to be full in a different way.

Crown + Cradle Doula Co. is growing rapidly. New systems. New clients. New opportunities. And, God willing, doctoral graduation in December.

There’s a lot shifting.
There’s a lot expanding.
There’s a lot to steward well.

And growth requires both grind and grace.

So tonight, I choose rest.
Tomorrow, we continue the legacy.

Grateful for the capacity to carry it all. 🤍

Some days the work behind the scenes is louder than the work in the room.

Today I’m deep in administrative mode — managing systems, responding to clients, updating contracts, reviewing invoices, refining processes, and making sure Crown + Cradle runs with excellence.

At the same time, I’m a full-time doctoral student immersed in maternal and infant health research… and a committed community volunteer who believes service doesn’t stop when the clock does.

Being a doula practice owner isn’t just birth work. It’s leadership. It’s operations. It’s strategy. It’s late nights and early mornings. It’s balancing vision with ex*****on.

And while it’s a lot — I wouldn’t trade it.

Because every spreadsheet, every policy update, every study session, and every volunteer hour is building something bigger than me.

Legacy work isn’t always glamorous.
But it is intentional.

And I’m grateful for the capacity to carry it. 🤍

POSTPARTUM TIP 🤍 Hydrate Before You’re Thirsty

In the early postpartum days, especially if you’re breastfeeding, your body is working overtime.

Keep a large water bottle next to:
• Your bed
• Your feeding station
• The couch

Every time baby eats, you drink.

Hydration supports:
✨ Milk production
✨ Energy levels
✨ Healing
✨ Headache prevention

Postpartum recovery is physical work. Treat your body like it just ran a marathon — because it did.
