Today, I had the honor of supporting my clients as they welcomed their beautiful baby boy into the world 💙✨

And in a rare and special moment as a Doula, I was able to go back with them for their c section. That doesn’t happen often—but today, it did.

Being present in that space… supporting, advocating, and witnessing their transition into parenthood in such an intimate way is something I will never take lightly.

Every birth is unique. Every journey is different. And today was a reminder of just how powerful support can be—no matter how baby arrives 🤎

Today was an unplanned induction 🤎

From early this morning, I’ve been in the hospital supporting a family, while also balancing meetings and showing up as a full-time doctoral student behind the scenes.

This work isn’t always predictable. It requires flexibility, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to the families I serve. Some days look like schedules and structure… and other days look like pivoting in real time and still showing up fully.

Grateful to do work that matters—both at the bedside and beyond ✨

The life of a birth worker is complex… and I wouldn’t trade it for anything 🤎✨

Yesterday, I found myself shifting between different births, different scenarios, different needs—holding space in ways that require both flexibility and deep intention. This work is not linear. It stretches you, grows you, and calls you higher every single time.

In the midst of it all, I had the opportunity to spend meaningful time with a great friend of mine, Dr. Onia dreaming, building, and planning impactful work in the maternal health space.

This work is layered. It’s demanding. It’s sacred.

There’s something so sacred about preparing to walk into a birth space—especially for an induction. It’s not just about what’s in the bag… it’s about the intention, the presence, and the support I’m bringing with me.

✨ In the thick of it… and grateful for it. ✨

The past two days have been full—back-to-back prenatal and postpartum visits, supporting families through some of the most important moments of their lives… all while balancing my quantitative research methods class and continuing to grow Crown + Cradle Doula Co.

It’s a lot.
But it’s also purpose.

Every visit, every conversation, every late night studying—it all connects to the bigger mission: supporting families and improving maternal health outcomes in our communities.

Some days look like controlled chaos… but I wouldn’t trade this work for anything. 💛

Crocheting has quietly become one of my favorite ways to unwind. 🧶
Between supporting families, running Crown + Cradle Doula Co., school, an internship, and everything in between, it’s become my little moment of calm.

This blanket was delivered to its new family yesterday, and it made my heart so happy knowing something made with love will now be part of relaxation and recovery. ❤️

💝 A promise kept! 💝

At the recent babies.and.bumps event, I had the joy of winning a beautiful winnie.and.lu.home Airess Drying Rack as a prize — and I promised that I would pass that blessing along to one of my families.

I’m so happy to share that the gift has now been delivered to a wonderful family expecting a sweet baby girl! 🎀

Moments like this remind me how special our birth community is — supporting families, celebrating new life, and sharing resources that make the journey into parenthood even more meaningful.

Thank you Babies & Bumps and Winnie & Lu for creating such a beautiful experience and for supporting growing families.
