This client was smart, knowledgable, ate clean, worked out, and was trying to do everything right. She wasn’t lazy. She wasn’t “noncompliant.” And she wasn’t broken.
She was doing what most high-achieving women do…
pushing harder, cleaning up her diet, trying to be “more disciplined”…
while her physiology was quietly stuck in survival mode.
When we finally mapped her case with the right testing, the story was clear:
✅ chronic stress physiology (HPA-axis dysregulation)
✅ gut-driven inflammation (including H. pylori)
✅ environmental load (mold + immune reactivity)
✅ medication induced nutrient depletion (especially iron depletion) fueling fatigue
✅ metabolic resistance from inflammation + cortisol
And when we treated the drivers in the right order — her body responded.
📉 24-hr cortisol came down
📉 CRP dropped ~60% (3.14 → 1.21)
⬇️ 20 lbs down + reduced cravings
🏠 BP improved enough to reduce meds with her physician’s blessing
✅ eradicated H. pylori
✅ finished mold protocol + remediation with normal retest
✅ weaned off meds for reflux, allergies, eczema and more
✅ sinus + ears + breathlessness resolved
She told me last week she CAN NOT BELIEVE how good she feels right now. Truly.
The best part?
We’re now transitioning toward maintenance with fewer supplements… because her body is actually regulating itself again.
If you’ve been stuck in the “I’m doing everything right but nothing is changing” loop…
it’s usually not a motivation issue.
It’s a missing map.
Comment HELP and I’ll send you information on how you can work with us on your very own map too. Xo

Who else has a work life balance that looks like laptops in the bleachers?

Tell me I’m not alone 👇🏻

As a business owner stepping away is hard and sometimes I wish I could turn my brain off a tad more from time to time, and yes I know - This may look chaotic to some. But to me it’s everything I’ve prayed for. I have a thriving business I love where I can help people struggling with their health feel the best they ever have. And I have healthy happy kids that I get to support and watch do what they deeply love.

With a lot of time blocking, scheduling, planning ahead, a helpful husband, an ever present hotspot, strategically packing snacks caffeine supplements and more into my Mary poppins bag I can do it all the things I love! 💁🏼‍♀️

What’s in your “starter pack”?

MCAS is one of the trickiest conditions to manage because there is no one size fits all when dealing with MCAS and most conventional treatments feel like you're just chasing your various symptoms in circles.

But it doesn't have to be that way. With the right, strategic, step by step approach (no magic wand sorry), you can identify and remove your personal triggers (which will be different than other people's and can change and evolve), identify and resolve your root cause destabilizers, and stop chasing symptoms once and for all.

Remember mast cells are like little balloons that can explode too easily in MCAS - and a key question is: why are your balloons so easy to pop in the first place? That’s where root causes come in.

Someone without MCAS doesn’t usually break out in hives from getting hot, react strongly to a scent, or spiral after a glass of wine. When mast cells are overly reactive, it’s often because something deeper is making them less stable.

That “why” can include things like: mold exposure, infections like EBV/COVID/Lyme, gut dysbiosis, intestinal permeability, toxin burden, trauma, genetics, nutrient deficiencies, heavy metals, and more.

This is exactly why MCAS can be so difficult to deal with. If you only chase symptoms, you often stay stuck in a cycle of temporary relief without understanding what is continuing to drive the reactivity.

This is the 3-step process we use:
1. Stabilize the mast cells
2. Identify triggers + root causes
3. Eliminate triggers + address root causes

If you want more information on working with us inside Heal From Within, where we implement this exact 3-step process, comment HELP below and I'll send you a link with information and an application to book a quick call with me to talk more about your case and how we might be able to help you.

One condition. Dozens of symptoms, seemingly random, seemingly unrelated...

Most people miss it completely because you’re told it’s:
Hormones.
Gut issues.
Anxiety.
Aging.

But what if it’s actually one system driving all of it?

Mast cells live throughout your entire body - your gut, brain, skin, lungs, blood vessels, hormones - which is why symptoms can occur in ALL of these different areas.

They’re meant to protect you, like little alarms with active compounds held inside that should only degranulate (explode their contents) and sound the alarm when it's absolutely necessary - not when you take a shower that's a tad too warm or have a few sips of wine causing you to break out in hives. That happens when these little alarms are touchy and unstable.

And when they’re overactive…they release histamine, heparin, TNF-a, prostaglandins, leukotrienes, that flood the area and can cause symptoms like those you see above.

This can look like:
→ Gut issues + food reactions
→ Skin flares + flushing
→ Anxiety + brain fog + panic + insomnia
→ Fatigue + poor recovery
→ Hormone + immune dysfunction
→ Tachycardia + vertigo + syncope
→ And more...

This is why your symptoms don’t “fit in one box” and why this diagnosis is often overlooked. And it's also why so many people feel like they’re chasing symptoms in circle and never getting real answers.

If this is hitting a little too close to home—pay attention.

👉 Save this so you can come back to it
👉 Send it to someone who’s been told “everything looks normal”

What if your “PMS symptoms”… aren’t just PMS?

Mood swings.
Bloating.
Headaches.
Fatigue.
Anxiety.

You’re told it’s normal.
That it’s just your hormones.

But what if there’s another layer to this?
👉 Histamine + mast cells may be playing a role.

Mast cells release histamine as part of your immune response.
And estrogen can directly activate mast cells.

Which means during certain points in your cycle,
especially when estrogen fluctuates...
You may see:
→ More histamine release
→ More inflammation
→ More symptoms

This helps explain why some women notice:
Worse PMS
Mid-cycle symptom flares
Increased sensitivity to foods, stress, or environment

Here’s the tricky part…
The research in this area is still limited.
Testing isn’t always straightforward.
And many people are told everything is “normal.”

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a pattern.
And it doesn’t mean you have to just live with it.

Because when you zoom out,
this becomes less about “just hormones"…and more about how your immune system + hormones are interacting.

This is PART 1 of a 3-part series.
Tomorrow we’re diving into:
The symptoms of MCAS (you will be SHOCKED at how many are on that list!)

Then we’ll cover:
How you can actually work through reducing your MCAS issues instead of just chasing symptoms in circles.

Have you been struggling with gut health for ages with no end in sight? If so you NEED to download this free guide asap.

There are so many factors that can contribute to gut health like:
- microbiome imbalances (aka good and bad bacteria)
- immune function (did you know much of your immune system lives in your gut?!)
- barrier function (your gut lining protects YOU from the outside world!),
- gut brain axis (think of this like a super highway that impacts neurotransmitters, bowel function, mood and more)
- food sensitivities and allergies (and yes there's a different between the two!)

So there is NO quick fix, magic wand, silver bullet in gut health. If that's what you're looking for keep scrolling, because this isn't that.

If you ARE looking for some really important information on gut health, some tangible steps to start to take back control of your gut health (and therefore your overall health!) then YES this IS for you.

In some people - this will be enough - this free guide will forever change their life and their gut issues will be gone
(I know - I've seen it happen with some of my private clients using the tips contained in this free guide!).

In others, there will be more work to do (maybe A LOT MORE depending on the person!), but following this guide won't be a waste even for them - it's still absolutely critical to follow these directions to start to work on fixing your gut!

These foundations are more important than you know - nothing else you do will work without the FOUNDATIONS IN PLACE!

Stop wasting money on probiotics and gut peptides and download this FREE guide and start with the basics - and go from there.

GLP-1's are no longer just being studied for weight loss - and the data is actually pretty compelling. Large trials like LEADER, SUSTAIN-6, and SELECT have shown meaningful reductions in cardiovascular events, and newer research is pointing toward benefits in kidney function and liver health as well. In some cases, these improvements appear EARLIER than we’d expect if it was from weight loss alone, suggesting there may be additional metabolic and anti-inflammatory effects at play.

These outcomes are strongest in populations with:
• Type 2 diabetes
• Obesity
• Elevated cardiovascular risk

So while the research is exciting, it’s important to apply it appropriately to the right person.

Where I see the biggest disconnect online 👇
GLP-1s are often talked about as either a miracle for everyone or something to avoid entirely. In reality, they’re a tool - and like any tool, their value depends on how they’re used, and they're not right for everyone and every situation.

Important contraindications to be aware of:
GLP-1 therapy is not appropriate for individuals with:
• Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma
• History of pancreatitis (case-dependent)
• Gastroparesis
This is why medical oversight matters.

And equally important: the foundation still matters.
Even with GLP-1 therapy in place, we still need to support:
• Adequate protein intake
• Muscle mass and strength
• Micronutrient status
• Gut health and digestion
• Sustainable lifestyle habits

One thing I’m very particular about is safety. For those interested in peptide therapy I always recommend going through a physician-guided process using a pharmaceutical-grade pharmacy.

That means:
• Proper screening for contraindications
• Personalized dosing
• Ongoing monitoring
• Higher quality and safety standards
This might cost more. But in my opinion safety is worth it.

If you want access to the physician-supervised option I trust, comment or DM PEP

If you’ve ever felt:
• exhausted despite 7–8 hours of sleep
• “tired but wired” at night
• groggy in the morning
• or like your sleep just isn’t restorative

And the rest of your health is dialed in, leaving no other explanation - it may just be a sleep architecture problem.
This is where DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) comes in.

DSIP is a naturally occurring neuropeptide being studied for its role in:
• regulating sleep architecture
• supporting circadian rhythm signaling
• improving stress-response pathways
• promoting deeper, more restorative sleep

Think of it like this:
Melatonin = turns the lights off
DSIP = makes sure your body actually recharges while you sleep

Preclinical and emerging research suggests DSIP may also support:
• neuroendocrine balance (including cortisol signaling)
• resilience to physical + mental stress
• neuronal stability under oxidative stress

Which is why this approach can be a game-changer for high-performers who feel exhausted despite “doing everything right.”

That said—this isn’t for everyone.
Sleep issues are often multifactorial (blood sugar, cortisol rhythm, nutrient status, gut health), and those foundations still matter.

And if you’re going to explore peptides, quality + medical oversight matter.

That’s why I only recommend physician-prescribed, pharmaceutical-grade options through a trusted source.

Methylene Blue is one of the most interesting compounds being explored in the world of mitochondrial medicine.

First synthesized in the late 1800s, it has been used medically for over a century for conditions such as methemoglobinemia and surgical staining.

In recent years, researchers have become increasingly interested in its effects on mitochondrial function and brain metabolism.

At low doses, methylene blue appears to act as an electron carrier within the mitochondrial electron transport chain, which may help improve the efficiency of cellular energy production.

This mechanism has led scientists to investigate methylene blue for its potential role in:
• cognitive function
• memory formation
• mitochondrial efficiency
• oxidative stress regulation
• healthy brain aging

Some research suggests methylene blue may enhance neuronal oxygen consumption and glucose metabolism, which are critical for optimal brain function.

Because the brain is one of the most energy-demanding organs in the body, compounds that support mitochondrial efficiency are gaining attention in longevity and cognitive health research.

As with many emerging therapies, research is still evolving and these approaches should be considered under medical supervision as part of a comprehensive health strategy.

Methylene Blue is one of the compounds now available through my preferred physician-guided telehealth pharmacy program.

04/01/2026

Your immune system is about so much more than being "weak" or "strong". It's about balance and modulation and the correct "training" (that occurs in the thymus gland).

As we age the thymus gland shinks over time, making immune signaling and coordination less efficient. Many environmental, metabolic, and physiological factors can also impair how the immune system responds, regulates inflammation, and resolves immune activation.

Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA-1) is a 28 amino-acid peptide naturally produced by the thymus gland that plays a role in immune system regulation and cellular signaling.

Rather than simply “boosting” immunity, TA-1 is being explored for its potential ability to support balanced immune function and cellular resilience, which is why it has gained attention in the fields of longevity and functional medicine.

Areas researchers are exploring include:
• Immune Support: May help support balanced immune function throughout the year, including during seasonal health changes.
• Cellular Longevity: May support healthy cellular aging and vitality by promoting pathways that help cells function optimally over time.
• Physical Recovery: May aid recovery following intense physical activity by supporting the body’s natural cellular repair and restoration processes.

Because immune health is deeply connected to inflammation regulation, recovery, and long-term resilience, peptides like TA-1 are increasingly being studied as part of broader wellness strategies focused on healthy aging.

This is one of the newer peptides now available through EllieMD’s physician-guided telehealth program, where therapies are evaluated on an individual basis and filled through regulated compound pharmacies.

As always, these approaches are most effective when layered on top of the fundamentals: nutrition, metabolic health, sleep, movement, and stress regulation though!

Comment PEP if you'd like the link to check TA-1 out for yourself!
