i was raised in the roman catholic church pre-vatican II with latin mass & the belief the RC was the one & only true church! In HS i get to know the Jesus People Movement & realized other churches had their own perspective & NO one had all the truth. Spiritual Respect for me is important because we are all unique & special individuals and so is our spiritual path to our SOURCE....you do not have to be involved in Religion to BE Spiritual and just because you don't fit into their religious box does NOT mean you can't find your own spiritual path on your own....Ram Dass said "we are all here to help walk each other home" ....NOW is the time to practice more spiritual respect while being supportive of each other...i believe we still are interconnected & we have more in COMMON than our differences....

what if God is trying to get our attention but we overlook all the attempts? what if there is a part of us/soul that was meant to be connected to God? what if we try to fill that soul part with drugs, s*x, relationships instead of God? what if we were created with a mind that questions everything? all the answers i needed i found within as i search for my authentic self & my unique journey to connect to the Source.

in my journey to find my authentic self i have learned to realize that i need to detach from expected outcomes, go with the flow, choose joy & happiness for myself, give without asking for reciprocation & believe the universe will support me in unexpected ways/synchronicity ....NO it is not easy but i find i live lffe more fully be BEING in the present moment....I know my mind will manifest the reality I choose to live in...

when i was in seminary & religious life we were taught to avoid "particular friendships" ....self-care/love is a particular friendship with yourself....we are taught to care more for others than ourselves but in fact at some point i feel i had to discover my authentic self which was covered up by codependency for too long....i do not feel this is neglecting others or only self serving since the ultimate goal is a better & improved ME that is more self aware. For me since spirituality is your direction connection to SOURCE that no one else or religion can tell you want you MUST do with this individualized relationship...it is a journey for the SELF/SOUL alone....in the realm of spirituality it is SOUL that leads not the EGO/Mind

being a child of the 60s i remember the phrase "keep on Keeping on"....don't give up....don't stop....keep hope alive....keep believing...i think we are all interconnected & so one positive thought can uplift many....it is time to turn the page....it is time to stand up for what you have belief in....one soul can help change the world for the better....BE the change you want to see in the world...keep up the random acts of kindness....BE a light rather a hater....i choose to keep hope alive in this depressing time of fake news....keep on believing in a better day....may it come to us TODAY!!!!

Just as important it is for me to balance the ego/soul is for me to accept & nourish the male/female aspects of me into some form of balance. Like Ego/Soul it is NOT a vs situation but a both/and....one is NOT more important than the other...for me finding balance gives me the best perspective & is truly part of my authentic self ....like SOURCE i thing we have active aspects of both in my life almost to a point of being androgenous.....when i can accept & nurture all parts of me...then i can function & serve as truly who i am call to BE in the world

are you woke? do you live life in mindfulness? i use to live to work, pay bills, eat & sleep....repeat....i was surviving but not thriving. When i retired 9 yrs ago my work became the quality of my life, finding new things to BE passionate about, random acts of kindness...to grow & thrive as i began a journey to find my authentic self....the challenge now was to let the past BE behind me, the future a dream yet to BE and concentrate on BEING in the present moment....life is too short to let it pass me by....i learned meditation to help calm & focus my mind as well as usui reiki that i have taught online for over 25 yrs now....i now strive for finding balance in my body, mind & spirit....as Ram Dass says to BE here now

only I can fix ME...not others advice but i learn best from the school of hard knocks...i work at release old baggage so i can fully BE in the NOW...for me spirituality is that healing balm for the heart & soul since the EGO/mind wants us to stay in the loop of the past victim....the SOUL/intuition wants to heal/release/grow into a BETTER & improved ME....i choose which voice to follow....NOT that one is better than the other but like twins they work best when there is balance & unity...do you WANT to heal & release? or is it easier to stay in the loop for you?

In these reflections i try to choose a meme that deals with foundational aspects of spirituality....i use to think i had to work at my salvation & involved sacrifice....now in retirement i realize it is more abt self love/care, opening my heart to others, letting go of the drama from the past & living in the present moment...my spiritual awakening came through learning Usui Reiki in realizing there is a whole energy world of healing out there that opened me up to more to experience...it is a journey within to find my authentic self...to relax into the flow of life....trusting my inner intuition ....become the best person i can BE...at the same time i realize the most important relationship i will have ....is with MYSELF.....i do NOT need someone else to complete me or BE my better half....i can be healthy, whole & complete in MYSELF...yes it takes work but the outcome has so been worth it....join me on the path of spiritual respect in connecting to your SOURCE

"follow your bliss...." not many times can you see the full quote. Immediately one would ask what is "bliss"? i would suggest it might be your authentic self, your passion, your intention, spirituality....only YOU know what your "bliss" is. But how many of us KNOW our authentic self & experience our connection to our Source through spirituality. For me it is NOT EGO/mind knowledge or comprehension but more SOUL/subconscious that speaks to me through dreams, feelings, de ja vu experiences...for me the journey is within to find the real me. NOT the me i wear on the outside to be seen as normal/accepted but the true SELF that dwells within me. Retirement for me has become a time to reflect on my life & journey to better understand the lesson opportunities i have been given....one can not see without deep reflection i believe....take my hand & let us walk the spiritual path together....respecting each others uniqueness but realizing we will end up in the same place

for me spirituality is a journey within to find my personal connection to SOURCE & to find my authentic SELF....no one else can do that for me, no one else can give me self love/care, no one else can heal/save me....i take responsibility for MY SELF....there is no more blame game, no could have/should have/would have, i am living only in the present moment....religion assumes i can a spiritual awakening but i was born into religion & much later in life had a spiritual awakening that led me away from religion that excluded me with their dogma & doctrines....nature is now my temple & LOVE is my religion....i depend only on ME for my spiritual growth & development....i can trust my inner guru/intuition...it is said that Buddha reminded us "believe nothing i say unless it resonates within you"....i had to find MY truth, My path, My journey....
