Let’s be honest — between the pies, cookies, cocoa, and “just one more bite” moments, the holiday season can feel like a sugar-coated obstacle course. 😅

But hear me: you don’t need to skip the celebration to stay on track. You just need a plan, not perfection.

Here are my favorite 5 faith-fueled, science-smart tips to enjoy the holidays without the regret.

🍪 1. Don’t “save” calories.

Skipping meals before a party just backfires. You arrive starving, your blood sugar’s crashing, and suddenly half the dessert tray disappears.
➡️ Eat protein + fiber before you go — think eggs, turkey slices, or a protein shake.

☕️ 2. Hydrate before you plate.

Most people mistake thirst for hunger. Drink a full glass of water (or sparkling water with lemon) before that first plate. You’ll eat calmer and enjoy more.

🧁 3. Choose your favorites, not everything.

You don’t need to taste every cookie. Choose the one dessert you love most, savor it slowly, and skip the rest. Guilt doesn’t burn calories — wisdom does.

Let’s talk about what’s really happening when the cookies, cocoa, and candy canes start calling your name.

Here’s the truth (and it ain’t sweet):

Planks look simple… until you try to hold one and start questioning all your life choices. 😂 But they’re GOLD for your core, posture, and even back health — if you do them right.

👉 Form Check:

Elbows under shoulders

Core tight (no saggy hips or b***y in the air 🙅‍♀️)

Back flat, neck neutral (don’t crane your head)

Squeeze glutes + thighs to stay solid

✨ Modification: Drop to your knees while keeping a straight line from shoulders to knees. You’ll still build strength without straining your low back.

Quality > time. A perfect 20-second plank beats a sloppy 2-minute one any day. 🙌
