I'm almost two years out and have used the high ADEK multivitamin capsules through Bariatric Advantage the entire time. I'm due for a refill and they contacted me to tell me the item is out of stock. Does anyone know where else I can get them, or a suggestion for another product? I have done really well on them, so I'm nervous about changing but may not have a choice.

Obesity Care Week Day #7: Take Action! Thank you for joining us for Obesity Care Week, where we hope we brought light to: recognizing obesity as a complex disease, confronting and combatting weight bias and stigma, stressing the importance of access to care, and looking at prevention and management opportunities for obesity. Going forward, find a positive way to take action in the ongoing effort to reduce obesity and increase health! If you have ways you are currently doing this, or plan do this in the future, we'd love to hear those ideas below ⬇!

Obesity Care Week Day #6: Prevention and Management of Obesity. There is no one 'easy' solution for obesity. It is a complex disease that is best approached with a multi-disciplinary focus. Healthy lifestyle habits, medical assessment, nutrition, activity and exercise, and emotional health are just a few of the factors that we need to consider when looking at obesity from a person-centered approach. You can read more here for things to consider when preventing and managing obesity. https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/strategies/index.html

Obesity Care Week Day #4: Access to Care. People with obesity can face a number of barriers when it comes to accessing care and treatment for obesity. Frustration with these barriers can then lead a person to not seek treatment at all for obesity and/or their other medical conditions. Combating Weight Bias: Why We Need to Take Action - Obesity Action Coalition

Obesity Care Week Day #3: Weight Bias. The Obesity Action Coalition defines weight bias as, "negative attitudes, beliefs, judgments, stereotypes, and discriminatory acts aimed at individuals simply because of their weight.". Weight bias can result in people experiencing both emotional and physical difficulties. A person may experience an adverse emotional response (such as depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem), or a person may avoid seeking medical care all together due to fear of a weight stigma, which then creates barriers to obesity treatment and treatment of other medical conditions as well. This article discusses the importance of taking action to stop weight bias.
