‼️Signs of Being Stuck in an Abusive Relationship‼️

Gaslighting: Making the victim doubt their own memories, perceptions, or sanity. The abuser denies things that have happened or twists events to make the victim question reality.

Love Bombing: Overwhelming the victim with affection, attention, and gifts in the early stages of a relationship to gain their trust and devotion. This is often followed by manipulation and control.

Triangulation: Bringing a third person into the relationship to create jealousy, insecurity, or competition, often to manipulate or control the victim.

Projection: Accusing the victim of the very behaviors the abuser is guilty of, such as lying or cheating, to deflect blame and guilt.

Blame Shifting: Refusing to take responsibility for their actions by blaming the victim for the abuser’s behavior or problems.

Stonewalling: Withdrawing from communication or refusing to engage in discussions. The abuser may ignore the victim, give monosyllabic responses, or physically leave during conversations. This creates frustration and is a way to avoid accountability or control the situation.

Silent Treatment: Similar to stonewalling, this involves refusing to communicate or engage with the victim, often used as a form of punishment or control.

Hoovering: Attempting to "suck" the victim back into the relationship after a breakup or period of separation by making promises, apologizing, or using manipulation.

Isolation: Cutting the victim off from friends, family, or other support systems to increase dependency on the abuser.

Threatening: Using threats of violence, abandonment, or harm to coerce or control the victim.

Devaluation: Gradually diminishing the victim's worth or value in the relationship by criticizing, belittling, or humiliating them.
