Welcome to Greater Dallas Orthopaedics and thank you for your interest in our practice. Al Mollabashy and Nathan Gilbert, founding partners of Greater Dallas Orthopaedics, strive to provide quality orthopaedic care for the Dallas-Ft. Greater Dallas Orthopaedics is a unique practice because we are the only group practice in the metroplex that provides orthopaedic tumor and sarcoma care. The Texas M

usculoskeletal Tumor & Sarcoma Service is located within our practice. In addition, GDO surgeons have expertise in primary and revision joint replacement surgery, musculoskeletal infections, complex reconstructive surgery, fracture care, hand and upper extremity orthopaedics, and general orthopaedics. All of our surgeons are board certified or board eligible. Our orthopaedic surgeons have over fifteen years of surgical experience, and perform a variety of procedures including some of the most complicated operations in orthopaedics. It is not uncommon for patients to travel hundreds of miles for expert care at Greater Dallas Orthopaedics. In addition, our practice has a large volume of local orthopaedic patients who appreciate the individualized treatment that they receive at our practice.

M.D. from UT Southwestern School of Medicine, alpha omega alpha honor society.
Internship/Residency at UT Southwestern School of Medicine including a 3 month rotation as senior registrar at the Norwich and Norfolk University Hospital in Norwich, England.
Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Currently serves as assistant professor for UT Southwestern School of Medicine.
