The Role:�We’re hiring a Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our growing team in beautiful, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. You’ll have access to a private treatment room/office, full gym to treat patients, and Prompt EMR for streamlined documentation.

Big news!!! We want to give Dr. Christian Mayfield, PT, DPT, OCS a warm welcome to the Elevate208 family! Shortly after opening our doors, Dr. Matt’s schedule was completely booked out and we knew we needed to hire another therapist to get patients in and better serve our community. However, it took some time, as we wanted to be very selective on who we brought in — and finally we found the best fit and the best guy!

Christian is originally from Coeur d’Alene but he has spent the past several years in western Washington where he specialized in Orthopedics, Industrial Rehabilitation and Post-Operative Rehabilitation. Christian and his wife, Marina, recently moved back to Coeur D’Alene in order to join Elevate208 and offer the best care to North Idaho.

Outside of work, Christian enjoys spending time with his wife, family, friends and serving the Lord. For hobbies, he likes golfing, camping, hunting and a good board game.

We are so honored to have Christian join the team and we look forward to being able to provide more appointment times and availability for one-on-one treatment sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Give Christian a warm welcome!

Now that I’ve had my doors open for a year, I wanted to re-introduce myself and share how Elevate208 Physical Therapy began.

My name is Dr. Matt Kifer! It’s hard to fully put into words the journey that led me to open Elevate208, but one thing is for sure—I’m incredibly grateful for everything that has brought me to this point.

Starting my own practice has always been a dream of mine, but it came with challenges I didn’t expect. Leaving my previous job came at a steep price — not only in giving up a steady income but also having a costly non-compete buyout to pursue my dream. That, on top of having a pregnant wife and not having health insurance for the arrival of our son, felt like a mountain to climb. But through it all, we felt peace that this was the path God was calling us to.

With prayer and an incredible amount of support from my wife (who, while very pregnant, never stopped encouraging me when it felt overwhelming), we took the leap. It hasn’t been easy, but every step has reaffirmed our decision. And here’s the amazing part—GOD WAS FAITHFUL. Within the first month of opening, I was completely booked with patients and have stayed full ever since. It’s a testament to His provision and the incredible support of our community.

God gave me the vision to do physical therapy His way. That is why Elevate208 is all about doing physical therapy differently than it classically has been done. As the only insurance-based clinic in Kootenai County that offers hour-long, one-on-one sessions with only a Doctor of Physical Therapy (no aides/techs or Physical Therapist Assistants) we are able to provide care that well exceeds common practice. And by using evidence-based treatments, we create the right environment for your body to heal, naturally. Ultimately, our desire is to see holistic healing—mind, body, and soul—all for His glory!

This is the story of Elevate208—a journey of trials, obedience, and God’s faithfulness. I couldn’t be more excited to serve the people of North Idaho and truly Elevate the 208 this next year. If you or someone you know is in pain and needs help, we are here for you!

Big announcement! I am opening up my own Physical Therapy practice in January. I will be opening inside Christ Fit Gym in Dalton Gardens off of Government Way. This has been a dream of mine that God made a reality much sooner than I anticipated. I cannot wait to continue to offer the best quality of healthcare to all of Kootenai County. My mission is to Elevate your physical therapy experience and do physical therapy differently with:

- Hour-long Treatment Sessions
- One-on-One Care Provided only by a Doctor of Physical Therapy (No techs, aides, or assistants to be passed off to)
- Evidenced-based treatments only (no snake oil or outdated treatment methods)

So after much prayer, fasting, and seeking…I have decided to carry out this dream. None of this would be possible without my wonderful wife, who while being very pregnant, has supported my obsessive nature and spurred me along the way when faced with discouragement and hardships. If you or your friends/family need help getting out of pain, send them my way in January! I look forward to helping people heal, serving the community, and furthering the Kingdom where He has called me.
