Mrs. Joyce Gibbons came to Landmark of Danville after a fall at home that left her with two fractures in her spine. She met her goal with therapy and will be returning home with her daughter to Parksville Knob. Ms. Joyce discharged saying she met all kinds of good people here. Her roommate thought that she was a lovely person! Joyce loved the Therapy Department and says she enjoyed working with them. She and her therapists worked extremely hard so she could return home quickly and safely. Her favorite thing to do here was front porch sitting and listening to music. She will be missed. Good luck Joyce! ❤️ #LivingWellAtLandmark #RehabToHome #successstory
Mr. Robert "Bob" Orndorff came to us with general weakness and a fractured wrist. He needed therapy to safely return home. He and his wife Elizabeth chose Landmark of Danville for his rehabilitation. He is a Danville native born at Ephriam McDowell hospital in 1939. He jokes that he found the hospital bill and his parents were charged $150 for his birth! He was a journalist his whole career working for The Courier Journal, The Toledo Blade, and The Philadelphia Enquirer. He taught Journalism at University of Kentucky for 27 years before retiring. His favorite hobby is performing magic tricks. He got his first magic kit when he was 10. He did a magic show for us here at Landmark and was great! He says that his time here was a good experience. He is impressed that everyone always had a smile on their face and says the therapy department was awesome! Bob was an excellent patient and will be missed. Good luck at home! We will miss you! #LivingWellAtLandmark #RehabToHome
