Usually we don't promote our clients’ journey with HEaT. We leave it to our clients to choose if they want to share their health and fitness story with their followers.

However, this time is different. A long time friend of HEaT decided to try our program. We are so proud of her success so far and we want to thank her for entrusting HEaT with her post-pregnancy return to fitness and for allowing herself to “trust the process”. After 10wks in the program she is down a total of 16lbs and 9ins; that's amazing! But more importantly she is feeling strong, energized, and motivated!

Even though we like to let our hard work speak for itself, friends and clients who have seen our work first hand have encouraged us to brag and promote and even gloat a little about what we do. Nina and Izzy have developed a program that tackles fitness, nutrition and psychology of wellness. Our clients know:

“You can’t have great fitness without having a nutrition plan that will support it.” -Izzy

“Your mind needs to be in the right place in order to achieve the goals you desire. -Nina

You need a program that helps you during and after the transition. This is what HEaT is teaching our friend Sharla.

As a company we are confident in saying, we have an amazing program and we are so proud of the success that HEaT is having! But this post is not about us it's about our friend. Please follow her journey and also ours because we are here to stay!

Enough bragging and gloating but if you or someone you know (family member, friend, co-worker etc) is looking for a program that actually works FOR YOU! reach out to us and join HEaT today so YOU can reach your fitness and nutrition goals.

New shoe ALERT!!! That's right finally gave in and bought new shoes. I was tripping should have done that a long time ago. The shoes 👟 I bought are called adrenaline GTS, felt great😀, I'm going to give it a couple more runs using them and really see how it feels.🤔

But my knees, and hips didn't hurt during and after the run. But my foot kept slipping in the front. usually the types of running shoes I wear are they run really tight even in the front, people at the store suggested wider ones for knees and the hip pain 🤔🏃‍♂️ So I am trying to get use to how wide the shoes are. In the video I called the store I went to road runner... Oooops 🤭😬 the store is actually called "forward motion" good service and lots of info about shoes. 👍🏾👍🏾

Last thing, if you use app to track your runs, send me a DM and let's follow each other!!! 💪🏾😀

Day 5 and of course I am VERY late 😬 posting this! Where do I start? Honestly, the challenge doesn't get easier, instead, my thoughts become sharp thorns. I Constantly have to remind myself about my goal, also remember when to use or change my dialogue when describing what I'm doing or explaining why. It's time! Time that I start accepting what I am doing so I can start changing. I have to also remember to not beat myself up... You didn't see it in this video (thank goodness for editing LOL but that is what I was doing, beating myself up) let me explain why. More then ten years ago I was an avid runner and to make this sweeter for y'all I was a lot of years younger 😂🤦🏾‍♂️. Dang, it!!!

I want to quit, I don't want to do this anymore, this sh*t hurts 😰!!!! There I go with the same awful dialogue, I really have to stop because I'm truly getting in my own way. I wish I could really give advice on how to keep going, but the truth is those stupid sharp thorns reminding of why and to keep going even if my body quickly reminds me to slow it down. If you're here at this same point with something you use to do, was good at it and you didn't quit but switched your program it's okay. It's okay to feel like a beginner, I am here telling you not to beat yourself up and get back on that horse and do it because we can do it! It might not feel good or look pretty but at least we are trying and not giving up!!!

Till the next one guys and I promise not to be late on my post 💪🏾😉

Late post, better late than never. this run was super special to me. I asked my son to come run with me. His enthusiasm is what really inspired me to go, I wasn't even in the mood and was really feeling sore. Feeling the pain in my knees didnt make it any easier to get started (Ugh, i need new running shoes) As soon as we got on the trail he started sharing with me how excited he was to be out there and wanted to keep coming out with me running. That excitment made me look past the pain (not ignore, because you should always pay attention to your body and what it's telling you) But I guess I ignored it just a little, I couldnt resist or back out. I got to share this adventure with him and loved how encouraging he was. Blake has been my road dog for almost 10 years and he always knows when I need some extra support. Sharing this with him made me realize how important it is to stick to something because your little ones are watching. As a parent not only do you want them to be successful you want them to see things through.

Day 3. I'm COLD!!!!

So I am still questioning why I am doing this?! And the answer I keep coming up with is.... well, nothing!!! And on top of everything, it was cold as heck today 🤦🏾‍♂️.. LOL

Okay, while sitting here typing this post, I am trying to think how can I be inspirational, and honestly nothing comes to mind, My wife says i am being negative, but like come on', I'm really not! (Ugh, maybe a little) Okay. Running it's actually not that hard, it's just uncomfortable, and while you're doing it seems like the world can stop. But the minute you decide to check out and allow the process to happen it will get better, shoot, I know it's going to get better, but the one thing I didn't expect, how cold it was going to be while i was out there!!!

HEY! here is a question, what do runners wear when the weather gets cold? Back in the day when starting out, I would just wear shorts and a thin shirt and that was when I was running the Marina under the cold ass Golden Gate Bridge. Felt like my skin was thicker and could handle cold weather. Today was a reminder of my age and how this world is changing. I mean this is California and I am complaining about the weather, like Come ON!

Anyways, day 3... I'm doing it guys!!!

I'm realizing, days like this is when you need to affirm the decisions you have made, staying true to yourself and staying committed to your goals. No half-assing it, making a full commitment.

I took 2 days off and today I decided to go for a run. Man! That Sh*t was rough, felt like giving up 😵. Honestly don't know what motivated me to go today. While running I was in my head a lot. Asking myself, Why?? Realization, past 2 days I've been patting myself on the back, living off that high of "Day 1" 👏🏾being completed. But it's after day 1 that the transition really begins; when you sink or swim. This is where goals are achieved or simply forgotten about. After day one, uploading the video, finally putting myself out there, it's what I was living off of and then I forgot about my goal. Forgot about me, only focused on the "accomplishment". But really, what I did on Monday wasn't an accomplishment; it was just "Day 1". Once the clouds wore off, soreness kicked in and then I started beating myself up!!! So I'm here to tell you that I'm committed to this goal. It's uncomfortable right now, doesn't feel good and part of me is kicking and screaming. But I'm doing it, I am determined! I'm just at a point where I'm trying to wash out all my BAD habits and regain good habits. I guess I was tripping taking 2 days off. So welcome to "Day 2, the day I make full commitment to this goal!!!"
