Your annual physical could catch a serious condition before you ever feel a symptom. Conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even some cancers often have no early warning signs. But routine screenings during a physical can detect them early, when they’re most treatable.

Your check-up also gives your doctor a chance to look at the whole picture: your medications, mental health, sleep, stress and lifestyle goals. A quick visit today can help prevent a major issue tomorrow. National Radiologic Technology Week® is an annual event that honors the essential contributions of medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals to patient care and health care safety.

This weeklong celebration occurs this year during the week of Nov. 2-8, 2025 to mark the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen's discovery of the x-ray on Nov. 8, 1895.
This year's theme is “The Kaleidoscope of Radiologic Technology.” The theme links the multitude of medical imaging and radiation therapy practice areas and medical procedures into a single vision and celebration.

From X-rays, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, CT scans and ultrasounds, these dedicated professionals play an essential role in patient diagnosis, treatment, and care. This week is a time for us to acknowledge their impact on healthcare and thank them for their continued dedication.
