When we do, we want to talk to a trained and trustworthy person, someone who will listen with warmth and sensitivity and relate to us as people. Many wish to speak with someone who is sensitive to how issues of faith and spirituality weave through the emotional and relational healing we seek. Counseling is not a one-size-fits-all service. Your counselor will work with you to determine the type of counseling that best fits your needs. Sometimes, after just a few sessions, you will feel better equipped to cope with or solve an issue. Other times, you and your counselor may decide that more in-depth therapy will be the best approach to meeting your needs.
