You don’t wake up one day and decide to be a warrior. Life decides for you, and then you choose to fight.
When my dad was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, I saw what it meant to battle a condition that doesn’t take days off. His strength shaped mine, but I didn’t realize just how much until I was diagnosed myself over six years ago.
There’s no playbook. No perfect path. Just daily decisions, discipline, and the determination to keep showing up, even when it’s hard.
I used to think managing diabetes was all about numbers. Blood sugar levels. Carbs. A1Cs.
But over time, I learned something deeper: it’s not just a health condition. It’s a lifestyle, a mindset, and in many ways, a fight to reclaim control of your life.
Living with diabetes means learning to listen to your body when it whispers, not just when it screams.
It means adapting, adjusting, and sometimes starting over… again and again. It means showing up every day, not because it’s easy, but because you have no choice but to push forward.
That’s why I fight so hard with DiabeticU, to give others the tools I wish my dad had… and the support I needed when I was just starting out.
To everyone out there fighting this invisible battle, I see you.
You’re not alone.
You’re not just surviving; you’re showing the world what strength looks like.
We’re not waiting for change; we’re making it happen.
One warrior at a time.
So what are you a warrior for?
