Sexual and Reproductive Health presentations (Teen Talk) are taught by Safe Care Clinic staff. Call us at (530) 405-2837 to speak to the Health Services Supervisor. Presentations are provided by request at Junior Highs/Middle Schools, High Schools, Continuation Schools, Alternative Schools, Recreation Centers, Juvenile Hall and Community Groups throughout Yolo County.

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable types of cancer, yet it is still the 4th most common cancer in women worldwide. Almost all cervical cancer cases are linked to HPV, an extremely common virus transmitted through sexual contact. This month we raise awareness on its prevention, by getting routine screening and testing, as well as receiving the HPV vaccine.

El cáncer cervical es uno de los más curables y fáciles de prevenir, aun así, ocupa el cuarto lugar como el cáncer más común en mujeres al rededor del mundo. Casi todos los casos de cáncer cervical están relacionados con el VPH (virus de papiloma humano), un virus extremadamente común que se transmite a través de contacto sexual. December first is a very important day for many, we remember and honor those who are gone due to AIDS but is not only a day to remember and honor, it’s also a day to promote the prevention and treatment of HIV, and the perfect time to educate those unaware, with this, we’re not only preventing new cases, but were also helping end the stigma around it.
El primero de Diciembre es un dia muy importante para muchos, este dia recordamos y honoramos a aquellos que ya no estan con nosotros a causa del SIDA pero no es solo un dia para recordar y honorar, tambien es un dia para promover la prevencion y tratamiento del VIH, y el momento perfecto para educar aquellos que no estan informados, con esto no solo se previenen nuevos casos, pero tambien estamos ayudando a acabar con el stigma asociado este.

Adolescents have one of the fastest increasing rates of HIV infection - an average of two young people are infected every hour of every day? 50% of sexually active teens don't know how to use condoms?

Teen Clinic is a patient-focused, free and confidential sexual and reproductive health services clinic at all 3 CommuniCare Health Center sites. Teen Clinic offers HIV/STI testing, birth control methods, condoms & pregnancy testing and counseling. Classroom Presentations: Teen Clinic’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Education Teacher educates youth in Yolo County about: Reproductive Anatomy Birth Control Methods Sexually Transmitted Infections Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression Healthy Relationships & Sexual Violence Prevention Presentations are provided by request at Junior Highs/Middle Schools, High Schools, Continuation Schools, Alternative Schools, Recreation Centers, Juvenile Hall and Community Groups throughout the county.
