Three incredible days at Ascension Dermatology in Appleton, Wisconsin. 🙌

We trained two brand new Mohs techs and fine-tuned overall lab skill sets — and the growth was evident.

Trinity, a returning Mohs tech, showed marked improvement, a drive to succeed, and a bright future ahead. Cheryl, coming out of retirement after 7 months (because she truly loves what she does!), brings decades of experience — a histology technician since 1984 with additional skills in phlebotomy. Her knowledge will be invaluable to the future of this lab.

Isabel, brand new to Mohs, demonstrated excellent processing skills and a sharp, efficiency-focused mindset — one I remember striving for when I first entered this field in 2013.

As we grow, we learn to prioritize quality without forcing the process — adapting and improving with every case. That’s the gold standard.

It was an honor working alongside Dr. Tam Nguyen — a wonderful surgeon whose heart for his clinical and lab team is unmistakable.

Hopeful to return to observe your continued progress — or whenever coverage is needed. Enjoy your newly developed skills. See you next time!

3 days. 2 techs. 100% dedication.

Jared and Jenevieve, our Mohs Plus tech trainers spent three full days in MN providing hands-on training to two incredibly motivated techs, Yani and Kim. Coming into training, neither had ever cut tissue before, yet both showed strong focus, determination, and a willingness to learn every step of the process. Their hard work truly paid off, as they consistently produced quality slides throughout the week.

Yani brings a unique background as a former flight attendant and family practice medical assistant, while Kim’s experience includes working as a 911 dispatcher and a dermatology MA prior to Mohs. Their diverse professional experiences, combined with dedication and teamwork, made for a successful and rewarding training week. Great job to everyone involved, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead!

Mohs Plus monthly newsletter: December Edition!❄️🎄

First and foremost, we hope everyone had a wonderful and Merry Christmas! This month, our team of histotechs provided hands-on training sessions, and traveled to clinics to work essential needed coverage days. We had the opportunity this month to return to multiple clinics we have been working with throughout the year, and we are always thankful for the opportunity to return.

2025 brought wonderful opportunities and new connections for Mohs Plus. We attended more meetings, trained multiple amazing Mohs techs, and worked with new and old clinics to lend a helping hand when they needed it in the lab. We are extremely grateful for all we have accomplished this year, and we look forward to what 2026 holds for us and our exceptional team. Thank you to everyone who utilized our services this year, and we hope to continue working with you next year!

Monthly Newsletter November Edition!

Last month was packed full with intensive training sessions, and an abundance of coverage days. Mohs Plus helped multiple Mohs techs excel in their craft, and receive their training certifications! We always love to see each and every tech succeed in their profession, provide beautiful slides, and have huge improvements in their techniques and skillsets.

We are so grateful for every Mohs tech we have the opportunity to train with, and for every clinic that trusts and utilizes our services at Mohs Plus. We would not be able to be where we are without you guys- so we thank you endlessly!

November was a month full of wonderful experiences and opportunities, and we are so excited for what December will bring to end this year!
