Mohs Plus monthly newsletter: December Edition!❄️🎄

First and foremost, we hope everyone had a wonderful and Merry Christmas! This month, our team of histotechs provided hands-on training sessions, and traveled to clinics to work essential needed coverage days. We had the opportunity this month to return to multiple clinics we have been working with throughout the year, and we are always thankful for the opportunity to return.

2025 brought wonderful opportunities and new connections for Mohs Plus. We attended more meetings, trained multiple amazing Mohs techs, and worked with new and old clinics to lend a helping hand when they needed it in the lab. We are extremely grateful for all we have accomplished this year, and we look forward to what 2026 holds for us and our exceptional team. Thank you to everyone who utilized our services this year, and we hope to continue working with you next year!

Monthly Newsletter November Edition!

Last month was packed full with intensive training sessions, and an abundance of coverage days. Mohs Plus helped multiple Mohs techs excel in their craft, and receive their training certifications! We always love to see each and every tech succeed in their profession, provide beautiful slides, and have huge improvements in their techniques and skillsets.

We are so grateful for every Mohs tech we have the opportunity to train with, and for every clinic that trusts and utilizes our services at Mohs Plus. We would not be able to be where we are without you guys- so we thank you endlessly!

November was a month full of wonderful experiences and opportunities, and we are so excited for what December will bring to end this year!

This week, Mohs Plus trainer Jared provided training locally in Cincinnati for a wonderful Mohs tech, Rhonda.

Rhonda was previously in billing and coding for 15 years before transitioning to become a Histotech in recent years. She loves her family dearly. A devoted wife, grandmother, and mother, she especially takes pride in her son, Adolphus Washington; NFL defensive end and Ohio State national championship winner. She enjoys playing cards for fun, especially TONK, and can’t wait for the holidays.

She picked up and excelled in her skills in just two days. She provided amazing slides, and she is so excited about her new journey in Mohs and wants to be the best at her job!

We are so grateful to work with this clinic as much as we have, and to have had this opportunity to provide a training for them and their hard-working tech, Rhonda.

This week, Mohs Plus trainers Jared and Jenevieve travelled to Danville, PA to provide an in-depth training for a group of six Mohs techs at Geisinger Medical Center!

Over multiple days of hands-on learning, the team worked closely with Jared and Jenevieve on all aspects of the Mohs process, from grossing and staining to coverslipping. The techs showed fantastic progress, produced excellent slides, and were fully engaged in demonstrations and practice sessions.

It was a full and rewarding week of training, filled with collaboration, growth, and skill-building.

A special thank you to Dr. Ami Greene for her support and partnership throughout the training!

With the ending of the month, comes our monthly newsletter and our recap for October!

This month was exceptionally booked and busy with all of our team members. Not only did we travel to multiple different states, but we worked in at least two different cities in each state as well! Jared provided a wonderful training session locally here in Ohio, and returned once again to the beautiful state of Alaska to provide coverage.

We are so proud of all of our Mohs techs at Mohs Plus, and endlessly thankful and appreciative of the clinics that reach out to us and welcome us back for our services each month- we could not do any of it without them.

We are so excited for what all next month will bring for our team, and all of us at Mohs Plus wish you a happy and safe Halloween!

This week, Jared provided a one on one training session right here locally in Ohio!

The trainee- Trevor, is an RN with the proper transcripts for high complexity testing and he made amazing progress! Throughout the entirety of the training, he showed strong skills and dedication in everything from CLIA compliance to tissue processing, grossing, and cover-slipping.

It is always inspiring to see professionals step into a new role and excel so quickly! This was a wonderful training session and we are very pleased with Trevor and his results. We are so thankful for this clinic for welcoming us, and allowing us the opportunity to train and collaborate with their team!

On this day we are reminded that the emotional journey of a skin cancer diagnosis, and the treatment that follows can be just as challenging as the physical one. Whether you are facing surgery, dealing with scarring, or processing the anxiety that can come with a diagnosis- your mental health matters and is important.
