Northridge Animal Clinic

Wanna give a huge shout out to everyone at Northridge! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I want to express how grateful I am to be able to be a client of yours. Being able to squeeze Lúpe in on short notice means so much to me. Keep being awesome!
Today was the vaccination clinic. Hats off to everyone! Our appointment was at 8 for our 5 dogs. They ran it with military precision. Quick, efficient, and professional. We were back home in less than 1/2 hour. You guys are absolutely the best! 10 stars! ⭐️
Just wanted to say thank you guys for taking in this lil fella today, even though you’re busy as hell and probably overbooked as it is. It really gave me peace of mind that he was being taken care of with such love and attention! Thank you for taking him on such short notice, and especially thanks to the lady who called me back to let me know he is doing okay and will be going home with her to heal his little ankle 💙 Ps, I named him Geralt
This sweet baby has been hanging around my house the past week or so. If you know anyone who she may belong to, please let me know. She is SUPER sweet!
I want to thank Dr Staab and the vet techs for the awesome care they gave my little girl. Yiy guys are great. Many many thanks for the wonderful care you give your patients and their parents
What are your thoughts on raw hide chews for 5-6 month pups? Little miss has destroyed a Kong for average chewer. We have an aggressive chewer on the way but trying to get a variety to offer her.
Questions concerning Coronavirus: Can our furbabies get it? How will we know they have it? What do we do if they are infected? How can we help them from getting the Coronavirus?
As always, the staff are fantastic. Dr. Hapner is professional and engaging. He always listens and is very supportive. We have used Northridge Animal Clinic for the last 25 years. This the best place to go for your animals.
Thank you
Thank you Northridge Animal Clinic is the best
Dr. Hapner is the BEST vet I have ever been to... he goes above and beyond just being nice at the visit and doing his job. He is so genuine with his concerns and his advice. If I ever move again I will drive hours to go back to him. YES, he's that good! 😁♥️🙏
Little giggle for the day ...lolol

All pets, including both dogs and cats, require regular veterinary care. However, veterinary care goes far beyond routine vaccinations, even though those are important. A routine examination by your veterinarian can uncover health issues of which you are unaware. Schedule your pet's next visit!

Cats are masters of disguise when it comes to hiding illnesses or pain. Signs that your cat is not feeling well can be subtle. These symptoms can be very difficult if not impossible for the average cat owner to be able to detect! Let us take a look at your fur baby to ensure that your cat is as healthy as can be!

Mouth infections can lead to serious problems in the gums and other parts of the body, including the heart, so it’s important to give your dog’s teeth and mouth special attention!

Regular booster shots provide the protection your pet will need. We can create a schedule for your pet to ensure optimal immunity!

Pets fed a high quality diet have a shiny hair coat, healthy skin, and bright eyes. A good diet can help strengthen your pet’s immune system, help maintain his or her intestinal health, help increase his or her mental acuity, help keep joints and muscles healthy, and much more!

As we enter the New Year, what are some goals that you have for 2021?

[01/06/21]   COVID-19 UPDATE

Happy 2021!

We hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season!

As a reminder, please remember that in order for your pet to be seen or medications to be picked up, you must wear a facial covering AT ALL TIMES during the exchange process, whether this occurs inside or outside of the building. If you are unable to wear a facial covering for that length of time, please make sure you have someone with you that is able to do so. Unfortunately our staff continues to be yelled at, cursed at, and treated downright poorly by clients who are unwilling to comply with our rules. Please remember that with such a small staff who must work in very close contact with each other, we are all at an increased risk of contracting Covid-19, and could be forced to close if enough employees are unable to work. Please help us help you!

We are anticipating that with this new year comes a hope for better things to come and a light at the end of the tunnel! To the many of you who have remained kind and understanding of our current circumstances, we are forever grateful.

In addition to your love and companionship, there are measures you should take as a responsible pet owner to keep your pet healthy. A regular wellness exam is one of them! Schedule your furry friend's next visit with us today!

About 1/3 of a dog’s brain mass is devoted to smell, compared with just 5% of a human’s brain!

As we near the end of 2020, we thank you for all of your support this year and can't wait to see what the new year has in store!

Regular health assessments that include a thorough physical exam, a discussion of behavior, diet/nutrition and a risk assessment to determine needed vaccinations and prevention medications is extremely crucial to ensure that your pet is as healthy and happy as can be.

Happy Holidays! Warmest thoughts and best wishes to you and your loved ones!

Wishing you and your fur babies a safe and joyous holiday!
Just a reminder.... Our Holiday hours will be as follows:

We will be open again Monday 12/28/20 for normal business hours

Did you know that when cats scratch things, they deposit a scent that other cats can detect?

The first thing to note in a sick pet is their energy level. If you notice unusual behavior and a decreased energy level in your fur baby, it may be best to schedule an appointment with us so that we can ensure that your pet is comfortable and happy!

Do you ever wonder why dogs love sticking their head out of the car window? A dog's head is packed with sensors and they stick their head out for great pressures of air creating a sensory overload!

[12/15/20]   If you are a member of the military, you are eligible for savings on veterinary care! With proof of military service (active or veteran), you will receive a discount of 10% off professional services. Please inform us at your next appointment.

Potentially Dangerous Items for Your Pet

Many edible and non-edible dangers for your pet may exist in or around your home. Knowing about these dangers can help you make your home a safer place for your pet. Check out this article to learn more! Many edible and non-edible dangers for your pet may exist within or around your home.

Tip of the day: Before you set out on a big hike, rule out any health or joint problems. Age, size, breed, and other things can limit your dog’s agility!

It’s easy to protect your pooch from the cold! Many of the same safety measures you take for yourself will keep your best friend safe and warm. Limiting time outdoors in the cold, dressing them warmly, and ensuring that their bed is lifted and warm are all great measures to take to guarantee that your pet is warm and comfortable!

If you see signs of fleas or ticks on your pet, treat them right away! Otherwise, start treatment at the beginning of flea or tick season. We can help and tell you when if you're not sure! Call us today!

This is another example of the great things Ellie's Rainy Day Fund has been able to do. We do hope you consider donating on this Giving Tuesday.

We can recommend a wellness program based on your pet's breed (some breeds are predisposed to certain health problems), age, lifestyle and overall health. We're here for you!
