As part of the Florida Association of Community Health Centers(FACHC) legislative advocacy efforts, SMA Healthcare had the opportunity to speak with our Senators and Representatives about FACHC’s key legislative priorities. Tore Gintoli, VP of Community Engagement, met with Representatives Greco, Sapp, Chamberlin, and Partington, as well as with members of Senator Wright’s staff. SMA Healthcare celebrated the grand opening of its new Putnam Residential Re-Entry Program in Palatka.

This new program serves as a 15-bed co-ed residential treatment facility for individuals experiencing substance use issues and criminal justice involvement. In addition, the program is also designed to effectively manage co-occurring mental health issues.

This program will provide a space that promotes self-awareness through individual and group therapies with the goal of helping individuals develop employment readiness skills to enter the workforce after program completion.
