Angela Wiant and kids, we're so thankful to have you as a part of our program. Whenever you're here, we feel so supported as an organization. You guys pitch in every time you're asked, and you guys all do it with a smile on your face and a can do attitude. Thank you so much for joining us all those years ago and hanging out with us as we moved locations and figured out all the things. You guys are all much appreciate and loved here at a Freedom Reins!

Bryan Niles, you're up next! You showed up for so much construction. You were just what we needed when several of us were fatigued and ready to leave the project for another day. Your fresh perspective and ability to problem solve always left us in a better place than when we started. Our carport and run in would not have gotten done in the time frame they did without your help. Thank you for helping Freedom Reins when we so needed the help.

We would be remiss if we didn't go back to where we started and thank Jen Camp, the founder of Freedom Reins. Through her love and patience, Jen gave us the framework for what we are today. Behind the scenes, she's given advise, while also giving funds for the ribbon cutting. We wouldn't be who we are today without her, and her daughter in law Tanna Camp. Thank you ladies for all you did for Freedom Reins. We love you!

There was a job that none of us could get it done. Mats. The mats that grace our barn are HEAVY. They're bulky, and they're pretty hard to work with. Many attempted, and most of us failed.

Enter Eddie.

Eddie had the muscle to help move them where they needed to go. Then he found a solution to get the mats cut down to the right size. What took one of us two days to do, Eddie figured out how to get the job done in two hours. Our barn would not be as safe as it is without Eddie and his determination to finish this particular project from start to finish. Besides the mats, he was instrumental in getting our much needed carport built. It literally couldnt have been done without him.

Technically, he was recognized as a volunteer of the month with his fiancee, Kim, who is a dedicated board member, but Eddie deserved his own day this month for dealing with those mats! Next time you are at the barn, check out those mats that keep the horses and kids alike safe and off the concrete!

Devore Stump Removal- you're next! From donations to labor, we are so grateful you're walking this project with us. The second that stump was removed, it created a whole new beautiful view of our place and we're so thankful you took the time from your busy lives to help Freedom Reins!

Chris and Tom- you guys have been such a bright light to our program. From the first volunteer date you came to, to consistently showing up over and over again, to supporting the ribbon cutting with hours upon hours of hard work to prepare. We're so glad you found our program, and we hope to walk alongside you and your family for many more years!

We're not sure where to begin in thanking this family, but especially Brittany and Chris Wentworth. He's actually been a volunteer of the month, but I'm not sure that the post did him justice because he's been so involved on so many projects, both big and small. He's recruited family members (and their equipment) to help install fence posts. He was also critical in getting the carport built (he may have had to rebuild some of the work that was already done- incorrectly). He was also critical in getting the run-in built, that has completely changed the abilities of the pasture we currently have.

Beyond that, Brittany has held down the fort for the multitude of hours he's been constructing all the things. She's also been right alongside on a ladder and a drill. She also picks up chores regularly, taking weight off other volunteers. Lastly, both Brittany and Chris have instilled their service hearts in their kids, who have spent dozens of hours either serving at the barn, or playing with each other while adults are working on projects around them.

Wentworths- thank you so much for everything you've done. You weren't on the ground level of the decision to move the program here, but we can say without a doubt we wouldn't have gotten the things done that we have without your help every step of the way.

Prairieland Punishers Roller Derby opened their doors to Freedom Reins to raise funds for our program by donating admissions from one of their bouts back to us. We were so fortunate to have had them select us out of, what was likely, many organizations to support our cause. If you haven't checked out one of their bouts before- they are a blast, and they are always doing good things for their surrounding community!

Anyone up for grooming? We've got six caked in mud/dirt 🤣.

As our days are getting shorter, we're getting creative to get everyone their horse therapy. We're enjoying our gorgeous views while doing so!

Next up, we want to thank the Rolling Prairie Corvette Club. Earlier this year they selected Freedom Reins and one other organization to be beneficiaries of funds raised during their shows. Needless to say, we've been incredibly blessed to have fallen on their radar- they even showed up at the ribbon cutting with their cars and blessed us with their attendance! If you haven't been to one of their shows, please check them out in the coming year!

Earlier this year, we approached Greg with Performance Welding. His business and family reside within W/L district and they are always giving. All small businesses get asked a fair amount over the year, so we were thrilled when Greg jumped on board and gave Freedom Reins a donation to help fund our carport. The carport is necessary to hold the hay and shavings our horses rely on daily. Next time you're at the barn, notice their banner on the carport as one of our lifetime sponsors! Thank you Performance Welding and the Hale family!
