Join us for an evening focused on connection, support, and well-being at our space-themed Mental Health Fair on May 4 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Cooks Museum of Science in Decatur. Students, families, and community members are invited to enjoy an art contest, a peer helper showcase, mental health vendors, and door prizes throughout the event. Together with Morgan County Schools, Decatur City Schools, and Hartselle City Schools, we’re creating a fun and welcoming environment to highlight the importance of mental wellness. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life fighting for equity and justice. He taught us that even in the face of intimidation and discrimination, we must never stop working towards a better future – a lesson that feels especially relevant today.

Change has never been easy. It takes persistence and determination, and requires all of us to speak out and stand up for what we believe in. As we honor Dr. King today, let’s draw strength from his example, and do our part to build on his legacy.

Grief can feel overwhelming, but even in the deepest sorrow, God is near.
