Thursday, January 8, we celebrated Elvis Presley’s birthday in true rock-and-roll style! Residents enjoyed his favorite treat—peanut butter and banana sandwiches—while listening to classic Elvis hits. The music kept toes tapping and spirits high as everyone waited their turn to get their nails done. It was a sweet, swinging celebration fit for the King! 🎶🍌🥪

Sandria Harden has been a Resident Assistant at Imboden Creek Gardens for four weeks. She enjoys getting to know both her fellow staff members and the residents. With 27 years of experience as a caregiver, Sandria brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to her role.
Sandria is engaged to Michael, and the couple will be married on July 7th, a meaningful date that also honors her mother’s birthday. In addition to her caregiving career, Sandria is a writer with one published book and two additional books in progress for publication. We are

Today’s craft activity brought smiles, creativity, and a splash of color! ✨
Residents used shaving cream and food coloring to create beautifully marbled hearts. After swirling vibrant colors together, a pre-cut heart was placed on top and gently lifted. Excess shaving cream was removed with a ruler, revealing stunning patterns underneath. Everyone had so much fun—and the final creations are simply beautiful! ❤️

UNO was ON today! 🃏
“Ha! Draw 4 — UNO! No way!” Skips flying, Reverses flipping the table (well… the turn order 😄), and Draw Twos stacking up! Residents and staff understood the assignment and came ready to WIN. The dining room was filled with laughter, dramatic uggghs, and friendly banter as cards hit the table. And when the game was won? Let’s just say the victory dances did not disappoint 💃🕺

Today we took on a new challenge and became sleuths for the day. We examined a short mystery scenario and worked carefully to determine who committed the crime. Every detail mattered, and we had to search for hidden clues, question assumptions, and think beyond the obvious. As we dug deeper, we realized that solving a mystery requires thinking outside the box and considering multiple possibilities. The activity sparked lively discussions, creative theories, and lots of curiosity. It was engaging, fun, and definitely something we’ll be doing again!

We kicked off the New Year early with an afternoon New Year’s Eve party—and rang it in right at 2:00 PM! 🕑✨ We raised our glasses for a toast and then jumped into the very serious competition of who could blow their horn the loudest. The sounds ranged from a full-on herd of elephants charging 🐘 to tiny little mouse squeaks 🐭🤣—absolutely hilarious! We did a countdown from 10 seconds and when it hit 2 PM, a colorful light display floated down from the second-floor balcony to the first floor, making the moment feel extra magical ✨. Lots of laughs, tons of noise, and memories we’ll be talking about for a long time—what a perfect way to celebrate the New Year! 🎊🎆
