Getting to know … Julie Jahn

When I was young, I was pretty sure I would be what when I grew up? I thought about teaching, but got side tracked; but I taught sign language for about 20 years and loved it.

The best piece of advice I have ever been given and who gave you this advice? A long time ago a man who stuttered told me to just be patient and listen.

If I weren’t so good at my job, I would probably be: a piano player (can’t play) or sew all day

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? I like using my hands: sewing, putting mini models together, all kinds of crafts, and cooking.

Are you a sport’s fan? If so, who do you root for? No question – OHIO STATE

What is your favorite food and/or your favorite place to eat? Italian and probably Oley’s or Salvatories

Do you have a favorite quote? Philippians 3:12-13 “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead”

What is your favorite TV show or movie? Andy Griffith Show, Young Sheldon, Law & Order SVU and West Side Story

What is your favorite book? Gone with the Wind

What is one thing on your bucket list? Travel to Europe and Banff

What is your favorite part about working at Liby Monuments? The friendship – a great little group of co-workers that always has your back.
