Survivors of Complex PTSD were often in need of a hero that never arrived, or came too late.

Lifelong recovery means re-nuturing, re-parenting, and rescuing yourself. Do the work to heal your inner child.

Greetings beautiful, ones!

For survivors of complex trauma, struggling can look "normal" to onlookers.

A consistent mindfulness practice helped me break this masking behavior. Know that not everyone who says they are fine is actually "fine". They are not lying...they've surviving!

So give hugs, smiles compliments and loving energy to everyone. One hug might just get someone through a quiet struggle.

Don't forget to register for our upcoming SELF-CARE 2.O WORKSHOP. 3/28/2020. You deserve a break.

Great rising, beautiful ones!

Sometimes you've done all you can do. Now is the time to just be still.

Notice I didn't say to BE STILL and "believe". Don't just believe--KNOW.

Know that the Divine, mystical forces are at work and it is beyond your "doing" anything. Breathe deep. Be still.

To believe is...hope. To know...is faith.

It's actually very simple!

💕My dad taught me to be unimpressed with boys saying I'm pretty or cute, because it is inconsquential.

💕He told me that boys treating me nicely is a basic standard not a gift...whew--took me minute to own that one!

💕He taught me to think for myself and see "smart" as a superpower. He taught me to own my opinions and be able to speak my mind effectively and eloquently.

💕He was flawed, but I never felt unloved by him. He remembered little things that mattered to me.

😥He died in 1990. I miss him terribly. He was a true

Great rising, beautiful ones!

I dont know about you...but thank goodness God, the Divine Universe and all the ancestors knew better than I did at times.

Amen and asé!

Great rising beautiful ones!

Radical self-acceptance is a pivotal point for personal transformation.

It is one the founding principles of my Barrier Breaker (TM) Coaching System. It is a gamechanger!

Great rising, beautiful ones!

If you're trying to convince someone that your love is a gift, then they already don't deserve you.

You are special. Finding someone who gets that, understand your value and reciprocates accordingly is no easy task.

But when you do the effort pales in comparison to the benefit. Find a love that sees your greatness.

Merry Christmas, beautiful ones!

💕 Remember that the most precious gifts never have to be unwrapped. But they can be hugged, held and appreciated.

💕 I am grateful for you and wish you PEACE and LOVE.

Great rising, beautiful ones! Beware of annihilation that comes cloaked in praise.

I am not a superwoman. I am woman trying to breathe...seeking to thrive.

Deconstructing the myth of the Black super woman--YOU deserve to be seen, supported and whole.

Great rising, beautiful ones!

Is your vision clouded with stinking thinking? Are whispers of negative voices taking up space in your head? TIME TO GIVE 'EM THE BOOT! 🧘‍♂️🏋️‍♂️🤺

You cannot manifest abundance when your behavior and thinking reeks of scarcity and lack.

You MUST believe in possibilities from somewhere deep inside yourself.

Everything we think, feel and believe manifests in our actions, ways and behaviors.

💯This is probably one of the most important posts I'll make this year... Maybe even in the past 5 years.

I have learned over many years to love myself in TOTALITY. This is me dolled up and me all natural.

I can honestly say that I thoroughly love BOTH pictures. One I took after a video interview with Cool Girls and the other I took two days ago sitting on my bed. I love me.

I can say it without arrogance because the journey has been laborious, intentional and long. I am a survivor of many things an overcomer of lots of things that were intended and designed to take me out.
I've battled:
🔥attempted r**e
🔥eating disorders
🔥misuse of alcohol
🔥poor self-image
🔥sexual abuse
🔥narcissistic abuse
🔥attempted su***de (2x)

Now I'm on the other side. 💕

On this side I am grateful. I am clear. I am self-loving. 💕

It is important to tell this truth because sometimes people see the mask and they think that that is all there is.

They don't know all that came with the image the picture the story.

We have to tell those stories because there's someone who is still on the other side...thinking that it's not for them.

They wonder if HOPE will ever bring them healing. I'm here to tell you that it will...IF you keep pushing, trying, wanting and holding on.

💕Today.. I truly love myself. I honor me. I demonstrate self esteem by doing esteemable acts. Thank you 12-step program.

⭐I'm not perfect but I am in awe of my own SURVIAL AND BEYOND!

Thank you for listening thank you for caring. I WISH YOU PEACE!

Greetings, beautiful ones!

Today I am celebrating your ability to say NO.

💥Know that NO is not unkind. Especially when it honors your boundaries, respects your needs and teaches people what is and isn't acceptable.

💥 Sometimes NO is the most loving thing you can say.

💥Will everyone like it? Nope. Don't expect them to do so... it really is okay.

💥People pleasers may have have a more challenging time with this... it is okay.

💥Breathe. Everyone will be okay... the sun will still rise. I promise.

Honor your YES and respect your NO.

NOPE...The crazy-making behavior is NOT just in your head!

For less than the cost of 1 therapy session...this professionally led 4-week class is a powerful tool for recovery.

There comes a point as servants, fixers, rescuers, healers that we must come face-to-face with our own GOD COMPLEX.

And if your first thought was "never me"...then, it might just be you. But it's okay, because we can only change what we can acknowledge. 💕

So I am going to leave this one right here for reflection. 😉

Great rising, beautiful ones!

Your greatest love doesn't have to be flawless, but it is indeed an inside job.

Falling in love with yourself is a consistent, ongoing and intentional experience.

It empowers you to look for love that isn't transactional, or earned.

It draws you to a love that just IS...because you are worthy, from the inside out. 💕

Great Rising beautiful ones!

You can only manage your side of the street. However, doing 'the work' on yourself is actually relationship work too.

Great rising, beautiful ones...Whatever you're waiting on is not waiting on you!

There is no more waiting on the "perfect" time. There's no need to wait on being fearless as long as you're faithful.

Afraid that'll you'll make mistakes? So what! You will..accept that because that's part of growth.

Failure is what prepares you for success.

It's time to step up and out. The world is waiting on your genius!

We will see you tonight!

Great rising, beautiful ones! Happy Monday!

Today remember that small gestures can make a huge impact.

Here are 7 small gestures that mean a great deal. Try them all...or some...but come back and let me know how the energy shifted for you.😍

Sometimes a life can be saved with a random act of kindness. Love, kindness, grace and compassion are deep like that. 💛

Abuse is not okay. Violence is not acceptable. Nothing you did justifies being hit, hurt, or harmed. PERIOD.

"1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men aged 18 and older in the United States have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime." [ CDC.GOV]

Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-SAFE (7233), or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY).

Great rising, beautiful ones! These words have the power to heal heart wounds. I offer them to you today as a prescriptive tool for recovery and transformation.

As you read them, silently, allow them to soak in. Allow them to wash over you. Pay attention to the sentence/s that most resonates with YOUR being. You'll feel it. Then, repeat them to yourself and others as often as needed.

Great rising, beautiful ones. Be your unapologetic self regardless of who they want, need, say, or think you are!

Anything else is unfulfilling, unsustainable and way too much work. So be your beautiful, unique, strong, contrarian self...with RADICAL SELF-ACCEPTANCE.

Love is a contrary feeling. It is hard to describe, but you'll know when you have it...and when you don't. It's beautiful and rare.

I wish you an overflowing abundance peace and love, beautiful ones!

Great Rising, beautiful ones! Healing from trauma has nothing to do with willpower.

You can't willpower your way past abuse, pain and grief. It's a journey you have to walk at your own pace. It unfolds, happens in layers and compassion and grace are critical to the process.

You survived the trauma so that you could live. And you are worthy of that life!
