I’m running for School Committee because I believe in this town and am invested in seeing it grow and flourish. I grew up in Dedham (Lisa Pacella) and graduated from Ursuline in 1992. Afterwards I lived in Boston for 10 years. During that time I attended Simmons College and earned a biochemistry degree and then went onto obtain a Masters in Biology from Harvard while working full time at Harvard M
edical School as a researcher. Currently I’m a Scientist at a Biotechnology company in Lexington MA. I have a life long love for learning and enjoy taking on new challenges. My husband Jason and I moved to Dedham because it’s an ideal community with its proximity to Boston and all it has to offer. We have 2 children Jake age 11 and Emma age 8 who both attend the Greenlodge School. Next year Jake will be at the Middle School. As a parent I want to do all I can to assure the best education for our children and the community as a whole. Both Jason and I are actively involved and support many local community organizations. I’ve been a Precinct 7 town meeting member for many years and have worked behind the scenes on other people’s election campaigns in town. I’m involved in coaching for youth soccer and basketball. I also teach youth religious education class at St. Jason and I have met so many wonderful people at different events over the years around town and through sports and the schools. I’ve never been more proud then now to call Dedham home! I believe my commitment to the community along with my skillset as an analytical and strategic thinker who see’s the big picture will benefit not only our school community but also the community as a whole. I look forward to working as a team with the current school committee members and school administration to drive our school system forward for all!
