Your Princeton, IL physical therapists Dr. Danielle Lencioni (left) and Dr. Sonnie Blocki (right) recently attended the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in San Antonio, Texas. CSM provides the most current researched based information over a variety of physical therapy specialties including shoulder, knee and hip surgeries and rehab techniques as well as pelvic floor pain and lymphedema management related to cancer.

Jaren, the clinic director at our Mount Pleasant location, sharing a heartfelt experience all of us at DPT as well as those who work in health care know very well:

Every time a patient enters our facility, they enter a part of our lives. We begin a process of investing in their well being and health. Most times, we can spend a good deal of time together, and we can get to know them very well. Sometimes, we may even see them back for other physical issues, because we have invested in their care and they do feel comfortable coming back to a place or person(s) that they trust. That is absolutely wonderful. This week, I received the unfortunate news that a long time patient of mine had passed away after a silent battle with cancer. This patient was a wonderful man, always with a smile, always willing to come in and do the hard work needed to achieve success for his rehabs of varying conditions. I had know idea that he was ill. It, of course, made my heart very sad, as I always enjoyed every moment of working with him. I just want to say thank you to all of the patients that come to DPT and entrust us with their care. We most certainly care about all of you as individuals, and not just about the condition that we are treating you for. When you have completed successful treatment, we still think of you often, with well wishes and kind thoughts. You will always be part of our DPT family. So if you are ever in the area or near the clinic, do not hesitate to pop in and say hello and let us know how you are doing. To all of you, may you all have a safe holiday season! Please continue to keep yourself bodies healthy, and always remember that DPT is here when you need us!
