Have you been told your baby’s tongue tied? They might be but when do you really need to do something about it? Why does it seem like more than 50% of the babies I see are being told their babies are tongue tied? I tend to be a less is more in this case unless there are problems or clear indications that in not fixing it early there will be sure speech and feeding issues. I’m sure some will not agree but there’s no way we all have tongue ties and need them all fixed. Sometimes I look and I just don’t see the ties that parents are being told are there. Sadly I’ve seen bad outcomes when it’s fixed incorrectly too. If it’s truly causing concerns for babies then yes, let’s fix it.
