This was more than a book signing.
It was a homecoming.
To sit in Jamaica — the land that shaped me, the soil that raised me — and sign Becoming Whole: Letters to the Woman I Am surrounded by women who came with open hearts… it was sacred.
We gathered around tea. Around stories. Around laughter that rose from deep places. We leaned in close, held books between us, and held each other in ways only women can. There is something ancient about women coming together. We have always gathered — to prepare meals, to birth babies, to grieve, to celebrate, to pray. And when we gather intentionally, something powerful happens. We remind each other who we are.
Watching women stand in line not just for a signature, but for connection… seeing sisters embrace, seeing joy spill across faces… it moved me deeply. This book began as quiet journal entries in my favorite chair. I never imagined those private whispers would travel across waters and return home with me.
Jamaica, you held me. You celebrated me. You showed me once again that when women come together in love and purpose, there is beauty beyond measure.
And this… this is only the beginning.
