We got some hard news a few weeks ago, and I’ve been struggling to say it out loud. My Bonsai, who just turned 15, has lung cancer. It’s rare in dogs… and somehow it still found her.…… bu****it.

We don’t know how much time we have, but every moment left is one I’m holding close.

Bonsai is my retired service dog. I owe her more than I could ever put into words. She gave me safety, loyalty, and a kind of love that changes you.

There’s a small piece of comfort in believing my mom will be there to meet her when it’s time.

She’s not suffering right now, and I will never let her. When that moment comes, I’ll do what she’s always done for me protect her.

For now, we just love her

First Easter without my mom. I’m trying to keep it together. I caught myself waiting for her call this morning, hearing her say, “Christos Anesti.”

But I felt her spirit in church today… and somehow, that helped.

I miss you mommy. Alithos Anesti.

Recipe: All I can give ya is I took two decent size onions and hallowed them out. I stuffed them with a little Worcestershire, chicken bouillon, and 2 tbs butter. Topped with garlic salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, slap your mama seasoning, and a little pepper. I really didn’t go by a recipe. I just went by the seasonings that I like to put together.
Wrapped in tin foil face up so juices cook onion from the inside and don’t leak.
One hour at 350*
I cooked mine a little longer. I like my onions overcooked. 10/10
